They've announced the final five guest hosts for this season which runs through August. I had to look up most of them. But the one I did know should make a lot of people happy!

Sorry. Can't guess who you mean. Jeopardy is the only game show I watch.

Requirements for a guest host seem to include the ability to speak clearly and at an even pace with a tolerable voice, a sense of humor, and a familiar face.

Ken Jennings-Good, just as we knew he would be.
Mike Richards-a producer who probably stepped in to fill a gap where there was no celebrity guest host available. He did tolerably well.
Katie Couric-I thought she did just fine. Don't understand the haters.
Dr. Oz-don't like him and he brings a stain to the show just being on it.
Aaron Rodgers-I didn't expect him to be as good as he was as host. I rarely heard him speak, as quarterback. Almost good enough to make me start watching NFL again. No Kaepernick, no spellbound.
    Anderson Cooper-so far, so good.
Bill Whitaker-I expect he'll do well.
Mayim Bialik-Have only seen her as actress, not a speaker, but expect she'll make a decent Jeopardy guest host.
Savannah Guthrie-I expect she'll do well.
    Dr Sanjay Gupta-should do fine.
George Stephanopoulos-I sometimes find him annoying in his regular job, but expect he'll do OK.
    Robin Roberts-she will do well.
LeVar Burton-how could Jeopardy do better? A wizard, a true star.
David Faber-never heard of him before the article, and have not heard him speak.
Joe Buck-a familiar sportscaster. Expect he'll do well.

Well, he's got that last part down.
I like the part where Icarus hijacks the Little Red Hen.

I've never understood references to T!@#p as a "game show host." That show he was on was not a game show. Competition +/= Game. Even if the competition is not rigged.

I record and watch shows at a later date, I am through a few of the Dr. Oz shows and I find them a strain to watch. Contestants are not put at ease and his delivery lacks much.

She was the only Big Bang cast member who truly understands the science.

Good to know. Since I intentionally don't keep up with celebrity gossip, threads like this provide me with information about the stuff that rises above the fluff. I am pleased that Ms Bialik is a fellow scientist, and will look forward to seeing her on Jeopardy.

Doesn't she have a PhD in Physics?
What can this strange device be? When I touch it, it brings forth a sound.

    Neuroscience.

She's also the published author of several books on parenting, cooking, and adolescence.

Good Jeopardy article in todays NY Times , mostly dealing with the search for a new host but has other tidbits also. A good read.
