Dude can play, but there's just no excuse for that skin-tight PVC waistcoat.

Yeah - heard that! A neat concept for an entire album maybe - mishmashing Cardiacs and FZ tunes

Warren can play! But how great is this solo by FZ? Very.

According to Wiki, FZ asked Warren to play in the 88 band but he had Duran Duran conflicts. I assume that's when FZ held auditions and Keneally got it...maybe Mike can confirm this perhaps?

Never heard of Anais Drago before but that was impressive seeing her do G-Spot Tornado on violin. I remember Zappa saying at one point that he thought no band could play G-Spot Tornado. Now we see it being performed by one person.

Can't respond to this question but I believe Zappa had open auditions and Mike drove up from San Diego. Zappa asked him to do something that would blow him away and he played guitar and keyboard at the same time. At least, I think I remember Mike posting this story.

Yes - that is absolutely true. But I am wondering if Warren was offered the gig before all of these auditions happened? I remember reading that Mike almost didn't do the audition because he had a gig that same night or something ....I'm sure he could clarify.
