    Concerts by the Year

I was looking at my old concert ticket stubs book and 1975 was a very busy year for me, as I saw:

Ten Years After, Slade, Wishbone Ash, Camel, Kiss, Yes, Lynard Skynyrd, Peter Frampton, REO Speedwagon, Mahogany Rush (twice), Status Quo, , Black Sabbath, Blue Oyster Cult, Kansas, Ted Nugent..

Anyone care to share a year of concerts?

1976 and 1977 were pretty great too, but I'll wait to see others responses...

Nazareth & Uriah Heep • Duran Duran (unplugged) • Fish (support: Rubicon & Rick Wakeman w./ Adam) • Van Halen (support: Little Angels) • Dream Theater (first ever German concert, support: Heaven’s Gate) • Chandelier • Def Leppard (support: Ugly Kid Joe) • Saga (support: Glenmore) • festival: Faith No More, Iggy Pop, Anthrax, Living Colour, Suicidal Tendencies, The Levellers, RATM, Monster Magnet, Wool • IQ (the “Ever” live concert recording) • Roskilde Festival (Neil Young, Anthrax, Velvet Underground, Motörhead et al.) • Manfred Mann’s Earth Band (support: The Brandos) • IQ (local club gig) • Deep Purple (MkII, 2x) • Dream Theater (support: Damn The Machine) • Howard Jones

It never got any busier than this for me.

1975 is as good a year as any:

    Aerosmith/Status Quo/Frank Marino & Mahogany Rush
    Allman Brothers Band/Dave Mason/Little Feat
    Black Sabbath/Lynyrd Skynyrd/Peter Frampton
Jefferson Starship/Commander Cody & His Lost Planet Airmen
    Jethro Tull/Carmen
    Pink Floyd
    Roxy Music/Flash Cadillac
    Steppenwolf/UFO
New Riders of the Purple Sage/Flying Burrito Brothers
    Johnny Winter/James Cotton Blues Band

    Forgot one:
3rd Annual Banjo, Fiddle & Guitar Festival w/Doc Watson/Byron Berline/Emmylou Harris & the Hot Band with guest Linda Ronstadt.

Cool idea. I did not start attending concert until around 78, but I will have to look through my stub books for a good year.
