    **NEW ITEM FOR SALE WORLDWIDE**

Giraffe - The Power Of Suggestion - Legacy Edition

A 1988 CD, with packaging replicating the original.

These discs have been housed in the original spindles for decades — stashed away for years. Now, at long last, this unique item can be offered for sale. These are the original CDs, with the original mastering, ordered by Kevin himself. Each disc comes sealed in a jewel case, just as the original did. All artwork has been carefully reproduced. Each disc carries a numbered hologram on the outer packaging. This special release is limited to 350 units worldwide.

The Power Of Suggestion was the first independently released album on the new CD format by an independent artist.

Please note: CDs will be issued in random, not sequential, order.

I hope shipping wasn't that bad for 1 disc.

Mine came in the mail today. (#102.) Very fast shipping - only took 4 days from CA to NY with a weekend in there as well.

Not sure if I'm actually going to open it up and play it - I have other versions of this recording. I just wanted the "Legacy Edition" for the collection.

Thanks for all you do Gruno!

The shipping was also fast between CA and ONT (Ontario, Canada). I bought mine as a collector too. Thanks!

    The Rubinoos - Paleophonic CD
In early 1996, Kevin Gilbert, a friend of Jon Rubin’s, invited The Rubinoos to record at his studio. Tommy Dunbar recalls that the title Paleophonic came out of Gilbert’s wanting the album to have more of an organic feel than their previous releases. “We have a tendency to make things too pretty,” Dunbar explains, “only we usually wind up liking them better with the rough edges left on. I had never done much improvising in the studio before, but Kevin forced me to do it. Working with Kevin was really an incredible experience, because he was a phenomenal producer and keyboard player.” Dunbar continues, “He had a great feel for where we could take the record. We all had a very unified vision of what we wanted to do.”

Recorded in 1996 at Lawnmower & Garden Supplies Studio and Coast Recorders.

This is a really good cover! I love the original. So cool to hear a (relatively) young band covering a Giraffe song like this, and putting in the work to do it justice.

Glad that Kevin's music is still being heard by folks.

I believe they were inducted into the Radio Broadcast Hall Of Fame this last year. Brian is retired and Mark does a podcast with his wife.

The overall rule is if they were a part of Kevin's musical journey, then they are a possible guest. It's an open field with guest options. We know who we'd like to have on, we know who will be on, and we know who will not be on. Scheduling, timing, and a list of other factors come into play. We also made it a show rule to not send out teasers about future guests.

"The Best of Everything" arrived yesterday, and I've listened to it a number of times. Listening to it right now, in fact.
This is such a great release!
I knew the song from the Bolts release but this gives me the opportunity to really listen/concentrate on the song much more closely. It's kind of become a cliche, but I'll say it again - KG's lyrics are just so phenomenal. If you haven't heard the song, I don't want to spoil the lyrics, but his twist on a typical love song is just brilliant. This cd also has a couple demos that are really cool all on their own, but it's interesting to see (hear) the final song and then the demos that lead up to it.
If you're like me, you can't get enough KG! This cd is definitely more than worth it.

Thank you to Gruno for doing all of this work and keeping the KG music coming. It's much appreciated!

Thanks! Glad you are enjoying it. When the discs arrived, I took one for a test drive. I ended up listening a few times on repeat, back-to-back.

Another great "You Are Here" episode:

Just finished this episode & though this is barely KG adjacent, I had to comment. I wonder how Mark remembers it but I was at that show at The Troubador when Nick sat in with he & Erik. I regularly site it in my top 5 shows of all time. A magical night for me. Please thank him for being part of it for me.
