I remember in early 1968 there was a local (Providence) radio-station sponsored music newspaper called Go. There were articles and ads in it about and for Silver Apples. It wasn't until a couple years later that I finally heard them. Got both of their albums at Woolworths in the cut-out bin for $1.57 each. The first one came with a poster of the band playing on a New York City roof top. I tried listening to them with 1968 ears, but that was impossible then having been used to King Crimson, the Moody Blues, and the like. Still, those records were quite remarkable early in the electronic rock world. Goodbye, Simeon.

Looking forward to my day in court.

What a disappointment. I was lucky to have seen Silver Apples live after their reformation (along with the reunited Fifty Foot Hose); it wasn’t the same experience of seeing them at their prime, I imagine, but it was still pretty special. R.I.P. to a unique talent.

    RIP, Simeon...

Thanks for two great late 60's albums that probably helped Can finding its way.
