Yup. It sounds like a King Crimson VIP meet and greet.

Gotta say - the words "Live From Las Vegas" does not jibe with a Roger Dean cover... in fact of all that verbiage clashes with the cover - imagine the same cover... without the hype sticker ( "historic... etc - I do hope is a sticker ), without the "The Royal Affair Tour" supertitle and well, with a more appropriate for Yes... maybe a more abstract album name... "Yessamesongs" even... would work a lot better - all that info belongs in the credits

and yeah, that lion looks tacky

Wasn't there some early-era box that was rumored? Or just wishful thinking?

Viva Yes Vegas, they missed a trick there.

They are saving that one for the 2030 tour live triple album release of all the same songs, just played a little slower.

Lovely Dean painting as per usual. I would happily scrub the lettering and graphics off there and hang the painting; not even a tiny bit interested in the concert.

It's in the works. Rumoured to be 4CDs. Unknown when it will actually appear. I'd guess not this year: they like to space releases out, so The Royal Affair Tour will presumably be the last Yes release of the year.

    The real question for me:

Since this concert took place at the Hard Rock, why are they displaying the MGM Grand lion?
Cobra handling and cocaine use are a bad mix.

^ That was the lion used for the whole tour. It is presumably a heraldic royal lion.

And with a Jon Davison clone, of course.

Why does the cover say that that there are two LPs (are they so slow now )?

8that seems to be edited out on other resources)

Just going by the track list, it looks like at least 65-70 minutes worth of music to me.

My vinyl for this arrived this week, which was a surprise. It's pretty decent, quite enjoying it, even though it offers nothing really new. Playing seems energetic. Audience sound sometimes sounds dubbed on (During quieter moments there are massive cheers, but this might be a local thing.) Not sure if Alan White is playing much. Tempos don't seem the drag.

Nice artwork, and the booklet inside smells like a Porno mag and is made from the same glossy paper. So my friend tells me.

The audience was cheering because Alan started playing.

I just cant see the point in buying this without Gates. Imagine sounds pretty good - although hardly an exciting song.

^ That was nice. For fake Yes. For fuck sake.

I'm at a loss to understand why Yes would do a cover song in a concert setting, when they have a plethora of good Yes songs they haven't played live.
    Help me out here, ok?
And with great respect for chalkpie, I disagree, I thought this version of Imagine was average at best.
I understand Yes doing America early in their career, and I absolutely love their version.

But opinions are like belly buttons, everyone has one. lol

I thought it was a great treat when they played "I'm Down" for an encore in '76.

How about No Opportunity... ? Everydays?

While I agree that having Imagine on this is ridiculous, I am not against Yes doing covers.

Maybe at this stage they shouldn't though
