Yesterday I bought the CD, Mogg / Way - Edge Of The World, that I didn't know existed. Pretty damn good album for 1/2 of UFO.

I never did hear those early 'space rock' albums, because, well, I got the impression they weren't too good.

By the time of Lights Out and Obsession they'd successfully pulled off a more sophisticated hard-rock sound. The ballad 'Try Me' has some quite extraordinary playing from Schenker...I read somewhere that solo is a particular favourite of his.

Michael Schenker's replacement Paul Chapman died earlier this year as well.

I heard most of UFO2. I gave up about half way through Flying. Eeesh what a stoned mess. Side one is okay.

Going through the Schenker albums. Force It is pretty, damn good, as well as Phenomenon. No Heavy Petting up next.

This and Lights Out are my preferred ones. And the Strangers In The Night album is simply a band on fire. One of the best heavy rock live albums of all times.

I would add obsession to the mix. I felt like their writing matured by this one.

Just played Lights Out. It's got some orchestration and it's melodic. I like Love To Love. This group reminds me of April Wine. It's guitar rock with metal moments, but melodic and poppy. It's great.
