I think perhaps Hooffoot should be mentioned. Somewhat paradoxically, I suppose, seeing as very little of their sound and/or idea reaches for anything very new or different. But they do as Swedes have been experts in doing, namely approaching past endeavours with an attemptive angle of perfectioning it and - if possible - elaborate a bit on it too. Consequently their two albums, and especially their sensationally good debut, sound like titles someone else never got around to make; Nucleus, Energit, Isotope et al.
As great at this as Änglagård were at addressing the long-lost cause of "symph", Hooffoot arguably belong.

As you can see by the ratings, they are ALL good (great!), I suggest starting with two of their early releases and then their latest (which was released last month!). Believe me once you hear "both ends" of the spectrum, you'll be filling in all the rest!

Good to hear this, finally something new.
I'm glad they were able to do it. My understanding is that the Sharone Bros. tend to be crazy busy - Rani does movie and TV soundtracks, Gil subs as a tour drummer for various big acts. And Dominique suffers from bad stage fright, so performing is difficult for her. At this point, it's almost impossibly hard for them to work on anything together at all, to say nothing of actually performing.

Indeed great. Sad that I cannot really afford the vinyl, that most likely will already be in the local store which brings all Rune Grammofon. The new crisis is taking its toll on my income.

Yup, I'd add a few Soleil Zeuhl bands, like Vak, Setna, Scherzoo, etc...That's a pretty good list.

And amazingly enough, there are bands on this list that I've never heard before. Just listened to Glass Museum's opening track, Reykjavik, off their album of the same name. Terrific stuff. And THAT'S what I love about this site.
