Djam Karet Limited 3CD Burning the Hard City/Suspension and Displacement

    From the Chateau Djam Karet:

BURNING THE HARD CITY / SUSPENSION AND DISPLACEMENT (SPECIAL EDITION):
    PRE-ORDER INFORMATION

To reserve your copy of this extremely limited 3-CD set, please email webmaster@djamkaret.com with your name, your location (city/state) and your email. That is it! As we are unsure at the moment how heavy these packages are going to be (they are currently being manufactured), we are not looking to charge you for anything at this time. This is your first chance to reserve your copy! The cost for this 3-CD set is $24.99 USD (plus shipping). Each copy is going to be hand-numbered, and once they are sold out (only 450 will be pressed), no more physical copies will be made available. We are hoping for a late August /early September release and cannot be more thrilled by how this has all come together.

EUROPE, ASIA AND AUSTRALIA: In the coming week (or so), our friends at Burning Shed (www.burningshed.com) will have this available for pre-sale (the link on djamkaret.com will be updated with the URL on Burning Shed once live). We want, nay, insist that you head over there when this is available to purchase your copy. With postage rates being what they are inside of the USA, this gives you the cheapest price to get your limited set. The cost will be same as what we are offering it for in the USA with exchange rates and such.

Once the package is released, the yet-to-be-heard third disc, with unreleased material, will be made available digitally to purchase for $9.99 via our BANDCAMP website - djamkaret.bandcamp.com We will also be putting up a one month pop up store with some old Djam Karet merchandise rescued from White Arrow studios from the era of the release.

If you have any questions, please reach out to webmaster@djamkaret.com.

Important bit in the original blurb:

"Once the package is released, the yet-to-be-heard third disc, with unreleased material, will be made available digitally to purchase for $9.99 via our BANDCAMP website - djamkaret.bandcamp.com"

So, nice package for folks who don't already have the original albums or prior reissues, and a fair way to avoid a double/triple dip for those of us who already DO have them
If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

I still prefer the "buzzsaw" art of the original BTHC. I listened to the EFF outta that thing back in '91. The roomie's friends always asked me what I was spinning when they heard "Ten Days to the Sand" cranked to "11."

I'm debating if I want to buy the physical item, or wait for the Bandcamp deal of the bonus disc. I have the original releases of both albums, with the original covers, that I bought at the Tower Records on Sports Arena Boulevard in San Diego, back in 1991 or 1992.

Amazingly little detail in the description from the website.

I assume that both albums are in the set plus 1CD of archive material since the bottom of the image says "SE01 Box - Early 90s". That will leave "The Devouring" on its own for a "Late '90s" box? I know it's supposed to get a special edition as well, but why not one big box for the '90s then?

The advancing age of Box Set fondlers is resulting in back injuries if the whole package is too heavy.

I was about to laugh, until I realized that I'll be 40 in just a few years.

In theory I reserved mine, but haven't gotten a confirmation. Have others reserved and received a confirmation?

The emails are just going to webmaster@djamkaret.com. AFAIK, that is still Mike Ostrich.

    1) It's now up on Bandcamp:

    https://djamkaret.bandcamp.com/album...=album_release

I did get an email because I'd reserved a copy too, and in fact I just got the CDs in the mail today! I would actually recommend, though, ordering it from Bandcamp so that you also have the digital version in your Bandcamp collection and can download it from there any time. If that doesn't matter to you, then order from the band I suppose

    2) Yes, that email address goes to Mike Ostrich.
