New release from The Prodigal Sounds: The Inevitable Obscenity

    Hi folks,

    Long-time reader, some-time poster....

My band, The Prodigal Sounds, just released our second album yesterday.
"The Inevitable Obscenity of Autonomous Weaponry" contains 11 tracks of progressive goodness, including a 26-minute 6-part suite.

You can listen to more of the album on BandCamp.

We're unashamedly influenced by bands such as Rush, Marillion, and ELP and similar, but hopefully our feet are firmly planted in the dystopian Now.

For even more information about the album, including production notes, demos, and lyrics, you can go to:

To celebrate the release, I uploaded a "studio play-through" video of one of the tracks to YouTube. You can view it here:

    Thanks for listening! Prog on!

Thanks to Steve Gould and MMH Radio co.uk for featuring a track from the album on The Lost Art programme this last Sunday.
I believe an archive of the show is available here.

Here's another track, the overture from The God Program, that we uploaded to YouTube last week:

    Enjoy! Thanks for listening.
