THREE COLOURS DARK - NEW ALBUM - from Karnataka/Reasoning/Panic Room members

    Hi folks,

This is Jon, musician and songwriter with PANIC ROOM. I want to let you know about 'THE SCIENCE OF GOODBYE', the debut album from THREE COLOURS DARK - a new project I've started with ex-Karnataka/The Reasoning singer Rachel Cohen. It's our first writing/recording collaboration in 16 years since our partnership as two of the founding members and main songwriters of the award winning original line-up of Karnataka.

PROG magazine described it as "fascinating, beautiful and compelling... soulful handling of melancholia, wounds and pain".

The album is out now and features some very special guest performers, including Dave Gregory (XTC/Big Big Train) who played some atmospheric and haunting guitar on a version of Richard Thompson's 'Ghosts In The Wind' for us, Steve Balsamo (Chimpan A) who lent his amazing voice to 4 of the tracks and Chantel McGregor whose soulful bluesy playing enhances 'Blood Moon Rising'. Along with Kate Ronconi's sublime violin playing, Nathan Bray's elegant trumpet work and PANIC ROOM producer, Tim Hamill on guitar and bass, I play grand piano, Rhodes, synths and guitar while those who remember Rachel's multi-layered vocals won't be disappointed - she's never sounded better.

The CD is available exclusively from BURNING SHED: https://burningshed.com/tag/Three+Colours+Dark
The album is also available as a download from BANDCAMP: https://threecoloursdark.bandcamp.com

That must have been the long gone Limelight in Crewe - a great venue in it's day.
