This is a very interesting interview, but nothing Paul is saying there has anything at all to do with the title of this thread.

This is a different interview with Stern from a few days ago with extensive Let It Be content. Maybe this is what Firth meant to post.

Wow thanks. I don’t know what happened. This started with a FB post by Something About the Beatles, with commentary about the Jackson Film. Maybe I’ll just “Let it Be”

^^^ Based on the description and Mr. Jackson's past work, I for one am definitely looking forward to this film. Thanks!

the Peter Jackson documentary, The Beatles: Get Back, which was initially set for Sept. 4 of this year will now go close to a year later on Aug. 27, 2021. The doc includes footage from studio sessions that have never been seen or heard before as well as their final live performance on a rooftop in London.

Damn COVID-19! I feared that this release would be pushed back.

Incidently, the Fabs were huge Tolkien fans and even tried to bankroll a live action LotR film adaptation in the 1960's.

I used to have an issue of Life or Look magazine from 1968-69 that had a Ringo interview. He mentioned that he wanted to play Sam Gamgee in the film adaptation.

The first part of the trilogy will last for 3hrs 45m and will take the story as far as Pete Best being fired.

Seems optimistic. I was thinking the first part would end with John and Paul meeting.

Well if you view John, Paul, George and Ringo as Frodo, Sam, Merry and Pippin then I reckon Brian Epstein was Gandalf. And he's the one the cowardly hobbits got to sack old Pete. Who is probably...Fatty Bolger in this analogy?
