New music from I Am The Manic Whale

I like these guys a lot - puts me in mind of bands like Neal Morse, Moon Safari and the like - some great prog with melody - lots of sing-a-along stuff and very earwormy. Definitely in my wheelhouse. I have their first two albums and still spin them often. They have a new one about to drop (Pre-order here: https://iamthemanicwhale.bandcamp.com/) and just released a music video for the first single from it:

Thanks for the heads up. These guys are good at this kind of music, and I've got their first two CDs as well. Looking forward to hearing the new one.

And from me also - saw them last year at Fusion and was very impressed.

    Will check this out.

This is the best I heard today on this forum.
Other things I listened to are:
    Yoso
and the Howe Wakeman Sherwood thing.

Funny, last night I grabbed a couple of random CDs to listen to and this band's first was one. Since I was enjoying it, I looked and saw their new one and ordered it. I have the second one around somewhere I think. The first was pretty good, so I'm looking forward to hearing this one.

Excelent! Sounds like 80s Pop-Prog age of It Bites...I pre-order the vinyl version released by Plane Groovy because have a long Bonus Track not included in the CD.

Another video from the new album:

"The band are gallivanting around in front of green screens for this one - we put this video together from footage we filmed at home and of us messing about with our favourite small rigid building blocks."

Just listened to this for the first time and it just hits all the spots right from the beginning. Exhilarating melodies. The playing and singing are phenomenal. The production is beautiful. What an amazing album. Just love it.

I really like this band, but I think I had the sequence of their albums all out of order. I wish I could post a link to a particular song, but check out the track called Strandbeest on this album:
