I Feel Fine by The Beatles. At least my birthday song doesn't suck.
"Love Me Tender"
The Guess Who: “American Woman”
Confirmed Bachelors: the dramedy hit of 1883...
I Am Woman by Helen Reddy
Interviewer of reprobate ne'er-do-well musicians of the long-haired rock n' roll persuasion at: www.velvetthunder.co.uk and former scribe at Classic Rock Society. Only vaguely aware of anything other than music.

Damn, but this makes me feel old. I remember when most of these songs were hits...
Cobra handling and cocaine use are a bad mix.
Sh-Boom by the Crew Cuts, at least in Canada.
And the code is a play, a play is a song, a song is a film, a film is a dance...

Perhaps finding the happy medium is harder than we know.
Sly & the Family Stone-Everyday People
Eric: "What the hell Hutch, it's all Rush, what if we wanted a little variety?"
Hutch: "Rush is variety, Bitch! Rule number one: in my van, its Rush! All Rush, all the time...no exceptions."
From "Fanboys" 2009.
"Cherry Pink (and Apple Blossom White)"
Pérez Prado & His Orchestra
NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF STUPID PEOPLE IN LARGE GROUPS!
A link like this was posted back in our Yahoo days. I got a different result from this link: Michael by the Highwaymen. You remember "Michael row the boat ashore. Ha-lay-loo-yah". I remember the Smothers Brothers doing it. But the link that was posted at the Yahoo Group was something I did not recognize. I commented "Must have been before my time", which got a couple of laughs.
"Rudolph The Red Nosed Reindeer ~ Gene Autry (Ah, I was always partial to Wyatt Earp, myself )
Lisbon Antigua by Nelson Riddle (I am clueless)
I think a better question would be:
What was the number one song in the year you turned 16?
For me, that was 1975, so probably 'Stayin' Alive"
EDIT: ahh, that was up there in '77, when I graduated high school
"Lucy in the Sky with Diamonds' - Elton John for my 16th birthday year
"Normal is just the average of extremes" - Gary Lessor
Well, if were doing 16, then it's this crappy song, When Doves Cry. I simply don't care about Prince. His music never did anything for me.
Carry On My Blood-Ejaculating Son - JKL2000
Theme from A Summer Place by Percy Faith and His Orchestra. Which is hilarious only because the song appears in Animal House.
"And your little sister's immaculate virginity wings away on the bony shoulders of a young horse named George who stole surreptitiously into her geography revision."

For my 16th birthday, the song would be "Billy, Don't Be a Hero".
Oy.
Cobra handling and cocaine use are a bad mix.

My 16th was smack in the middle of a three-week run for 'Sir Duke'. Nice, although I definitely didn't appreciate Stevie then like I do now.
David
Happy with what I have to be happy with.
