Help With A Comic Book From BITD

Maybe you guys can help me. I can't remember asking about this and if I did get the answer, I've forgotten.

It was (for those of us old enough to remember) Cannonball Run, with a really odd cast of characters.

    1. Caveman dude with his sidekick in a stone car, IIRC
    2. Addams Family rip-off with huge ass hearse type vehicle towing along the family.
    3. Snidely Whiplash? Maybe?
    4. Some hero dude.

A bunch of others, I'd assume.

I picked up this old, weathered and coverless comic off my street back in the '80's. I didn't know what it was then and still don't now. Wish I still had it as I could scan it but it's not with us.

I know it existed. What the hell was it?

Tiscuits and Mudshark for the goddamnedest WIN!

This has been bugging me for decades. No joke, the comic I picked up off the street(why I still wonder) was yellowed and reminded me of the Stop! scene from Floyd's The Wall movie, where he's in that bathroom stall with the crinkled sounds of what Pink is reading(wonder what that was).....

Maybe the hallucinogens took over that scene as he also stretched his finger way out of his mouth and then a freaking wall blew up in my face.......

    Ahem.....

So anyway, that happened but that book is going to be so much fun to investigate.

You guys fucking rock. Thanks so much for this stupidity. I was reading about the Jetsons and Flintsones in the Vintage thread which got me a thinking.

    Funny thing happen that way.

ETS: Two seconds off in my search I find it's Hanna-Barberra. No expert but I really thought that. I'll leave further comments for later but I had that figured out somehow.

I used to draw my own Wacky Races with my brothers....still have some notebooks etc from that time. Flips, explosions, tech from nowhere....

Should be a live action movie.

Great idea. Who should be the actors?

The Rock and Cena as the cavemen, beating the hell out of each other.

    DiCaprio as Dick Dastardly.

    Margot Robbie as Penelope.

Joe Pesci is too old but he'd be great as the lead mob guy.

I'm so down with this idea. Why Hollywood hasn't done this is crazy.

Some people have built reproductions of some of those cars and they are super-cool.

Do a Google image search for "wacky races cars"

Wacky Races was a little after my time, but with three younger siblings I was aware of what was on children's television long after I stopped watching it myself. (My brother was a stone Sesame Street freak.) Yet I don't really remember Wacky Races itself at all, while I do remember the spinoff, Penelope Pitstop.

The only result I get is the Peugot ad I linked above. Would love to see the real thing.

And Arkansas Chuggabug might be the name of my next band.

Dastardly and Mutley always remind me on the villains in The Great Race Professor Fate and his assistant.
According to the Wikipedia it was the inspiration for the cartoon.

Thanks for that. My Google Fu sucks, apparently. Didn't see the midget mafioso in there but that's nitpicking.

Gods, I do dig this comic. Nothing comic wise has captured my feeble imagination like this one.

I've seen it several times and I still remember some parts of it, especially from the part before the race starts.
