Sad to hear this news.. Just listened to the Frank Wyatt interview (someone posted the link here last week) and he spoke of Bill quite a bit. As others have said his contribution to Oblivion Sun's first album was brilliant

    R.I.P. Bill.

I met him a few times and liked him instantly.

Great keyboardist and all around super smart music guy.

I'm glad I saw their NEARfest performance!

I learned that Bill was an understudy for Kit Watkins keyboardist for Happy the Man, Kit and Coco, and Camel to say the least.

It's sad there's so little recorded work featuring Bill. Besides Oblivion Sun I only see a collaboration with acoustic guitar-wizzard Erik Mongrain: https://www.discogs.com/Erik-Mongrai.../master/522420

Bill’s main enterprise was sound engineer. He was director of Audio operations and sound engineering at Black Entertainment TV from 98 to 02. After 02 I imagine he was very involved with HTM and OS.

Yes, Rick Kennel said he was the Live FOH guy for Happy the Man from 1999-2006. He was involved with the live XM broadcast the band did.

I too really liked the Oblivion Sun CDs and especially, his work. A real loss. My condolences to his friends and family.

Bill was said to have “Impeccable Ears”, wrt his technical/musical capabilities. This was a word twist on “Progressive Ears”.

Such sad news. Awesome guy & awesome player. His love & passion for music were always present.

I shot this back in 2009 at NEARfest. I thought y'all might get a smile from it.

I just came upon this thread here while checking out the Happy the Fan forum. I can't believe it was only this past March that Bill died. It seems like two years ago! 2020 has been a damned long year!

Great guy, and a great talent.

    Loved his playing.

Just one more reason in an overgrowing list of reasons, that 2020 sucks.
And if there were a god, I think it very unlikely that he would have such an uneasy vanity as to be offended by those who doubt His existence - Russell
