Klava - Polku (new Finnish retro-prog)

Special thanks to Mascodagama in the Bandcamp thread...

    It's groovy.
This is a blend of some very interesting music styles - jazz, groove, brass-rock, psych, Canterbury, etc. I listened to a few tracks and downloaded right away. I think this album will have broad appeal to the music seekers on PE here. This appears to be their debut album, released in November 2019.

First quick samples make this a must investigate further.
my music collection increased tenfolds when I switched from drug-addicts to complete nutcases.

When I first saw the mention, the "brass heavy" description put me off, and I didn't check them out. I just listened to the first 6 tracks, and they're quite good. Nothing like Chicago. I wonder why the CD is that pricey though?

Eclipse Music is a really interesting label, one of my faves in Finland along with Svart and Ektro. But they do have a bit of a strange pricing policy on CDs, it seems they start out really expensive and then they gradually reduce the price. Takes years though, so you have to be patient if you want to cop a bargain. Download pricing is a bit more sensible, fortunately.

I may as well hype a couple of other good 'uns on the label while i'm here:

Just a quick bump as I listen to this again and reminded why it's a contender for 2019.
