I work in a record store. I was temporarily laid off when the state of Michigan ordered everyone other than essential workers to shelter in place. I have hundreds of CDs & LPs I've purchased and not had the time to listen to. I'm diving into those.

Thus far I've played things from Al DiMeola, Mogwai, Godspeed You! Black Emperor, Thee Silver Mt. Zion, Windy & Carl, Roger & Brian Eno, Allan Holdsworth, Felt, Peter Brotzmann & Sonny Sharrock, No-Man, Wolfgang Flur, Fovea Hex, Magma, Phil Keaggy, Jaco Pastorius, Goblin, Ken Hensley, Peter Hubner, Fiat Lux and Mahogany Rush.

    More to come...

    Sorry to hear that.

I'm listening to Eddie Jobson's 1971-1979 The Band Years, which is great, although half of it feels somewhat pointless.

A couple of days ago, I dusted off my copy of The Master and the Musician. I bought it brand new in the early 80s, and only played it once to record to cassette. Therefore, it's in pristine condition.

This past Friday, my wife and I escaped all of this by watching Peter Gabriel’s Secret World Blu-ray concert from 1994. We actually attended that show way back then!! One of his best ever!! Everything was perfect! I recommend it highly!

Big on the Zopp! Best neo-Canterbury I've heard in a long time. I've only listened on bandcamp but will purchase as soon as Steve or Ken stock it.

I keep going back to White Willow's FUTURE HOPES...Lyrically it's kind of a downer, but musically it is just lovely.

Also stumbled across a wonderful Renaissance concert on YouTube the other day. Watched the whole thing through. Incredible.

Not exactly why I did it, but last night I played all of the many live versions of It's About That Time (Miles Davis) that I have. It's amazing how varied they are.

My random mix of my library keeps coming up with tracks from Aphrodite's Child - 666.
    Should I be worried?

Nah, no worries. Computer/microprocessor based devices, which just about anything electronic are these days, are incapable of generating truly random numbers.

I've been spinning a vinyl every morning while doing my stretching/yoga workout.

Today was Jack Lancaster -Marscape with Brand X as the backing band (1976)

At this moment I'm starting to think of an alternative lyric of Wake me up when September end by Green Day. I think about Wake me up when corona ends.

The confinement is generally good for my wallet, except when it gets to buying music. I just found out I already bought 26 albums in the last 4 weeks. Working from home gives me so much more time to lusten to music.

Latest additions are Emme Phyzema and the Claudia quintet. Both great stuff.
