This is not the fault of Trudeau or his funny socks.
Trudeau legalized marijauana. That's where i want my tax dollars directed. Just for a bit of levity.

Yup. That's why I said I was going to email Ford's office tonight.

I'm not going to get caught up in a political pissing war or play the blame game. There's already too much politics in this thread.

Not anymore. To the thread's detriment.

Got my second Pfizer shot today! Feeling fine so far. And I'm not in my 60s, thank you very much. It's just that my legs are weak and my eyes are old and bent!

Fully vaccinated (Pfizer-Biontech) Sofie became infected with coronavirus

It took a month and a half from the time 22-year-old Sofie Amalie Kaae was vaccinated against covid-19 until she became infected with the virus and had to be isolated in a former nursing home.

Second shot last Friday, no reaction this time. I had a headache and tired with first one.

As I recall it was always indicated that vaccination would not protect you 100% against catching COVID. It reduces the chances to get it and reduces the chances to have severe symptoms. Also it may make you an asymptotic carrier, thus the need to continue using masks

So do you think masks will never fully go away?

They’ll probably be part of the regular pre-concert regimen along with earplugs at least.

    90% efficacy means 10% ineffectiveness.

Plus, the vaccines do not block infection. They mitigate symptoms. You can still carry it and pass it to others. Seems like we have a recurring theme here.

Exactly, you beat me to it. Same as our annual Flu vaccination. It does not mean you won't get the flu, but your symptoms will be greatly reduced if you do.

Quite opposite I am optimistic. I think vaccination will eradicate the spread of COVID 19 to very minimum similarly as vaccinations did with other diseases you get vaccinated against.

Flu vaccine efficacy rate is around 40% compared to the 90% rate of the various Covid vaccines FWIW.

Nice. After my Pfizer 2nd dose I felt like moldy asscheese 24 hours later for about 12+ hours then fine. Everyone's different though....

I got Moderna-ed, aside from the first shot stinging for a minute or two I was lucky, I had nothing going on thru both shots. I'd heard the older you are the less likely you'd get a reaction (I'm 67), the younger folks have stronger immune systems so they should usually get a stronger reaction, makes sense I suppose.

True, the Flu vaccine is much less effective than any of the COVID vaccines.

Me: Shaking my head and wondering whether it's safe for my 55-yr-old body.

Not that it matters because it looks like I'm still months away from needing to worry about whose serum goes in my arm and by then I'm sure the rules will have changed several times over.

Both bands lost steam after the first couple albums.

Haha. So true. A US facebook friend of mine just got his first shot, and he's in his late twenties. Apparently his state has a surplus of vaccines. Must be nice.

I can only speak for the state I live in, but there is really no oversite here in terms of who is eligible. Sure, there is a list of people and professions that are, but no place checks anything (other than age I suppose when they look at your drivers license). So it's very easy to get around these things. Which, initially I was slightly miffed by, but with how gung ho we are about reopening society immediately, I can't blame anyone for line jumping to protect themselves and their loved ones.

We also don't have a surplus of vaccines in my state, not that I saying these two things are connected.
Please don't ask questions, just use google.
