I'm watching....The Addams Family. Stupid, campy show, but Morticia is pretty hot.

Check this out:
Swiped from a site that mentions that there was a pilot episode, but there are no details given apart from its year, 1964, and a photo:
And if that's not enough, go here:

Yeah, Carolyn is the ultimate Morticia.
The original pilot for the Munsters had Herman's wife resembling Morticia.
The only cast members that made the cut were the Car 54 guys.
I'm watching the Munsters. Al Lewis is hysterical. And Don Rickles is in this episode....
A little behind the scenes story about Fred Gwynne and his prep for the shows:
HERMAN’S COSTUME WAS A PERSONAL TORTURE CHAMBER FOR FRED GWYNNE
Even though Gwynne would eventually reminisce that Herman was one of his favorite characters, the time he spent on The Munsters set was often fairly miserable, thanks to the various devices necessary to transform him into the lovable Frankenstein monster. On his feet he wore asphalt paver’s boots with four-inch soles, and his thighs, arms, and torso were covered in 40 pounds of foam rubber padding. He contended with back pain daily caused by the weight of the suit and inflexibility of the shoes. His head was fitted with a foam latex piece to flatten the top of his head and then he had to endure two hours in the makeup chair. He perspired freely under the heavy costume and hot studio lights and lost 10 pounds in one month despite consuming gallons of lemonade between takes. The producers eventually rented a compressed air tank and would poke the nozzle inside Gwynne’s collar to blow cool air on him.
Fred Gwynne was hilarious. He was funny as hell in My Cousin Vinnie. The two hoowat?
Gwynne was so perfect for that role.
"The White Zone is for loading and unloading only. If you got to load or unload go to the White Zone!"
Except she is maybe even hotter than Carolyn Jones......
CNN ran a series on U.S. Sit-coms. What an amazing history of great comedy!
What can this strange device be? When I touch it, it brings forth a sound (2112)
I've only seen it on re-runs and that was a long time ago. It's amazing it was only on for one season. It seems like there was so many of them.
Interestingly enough, as I make my way through my Twilight Zone box set, I came across one that had Art Carney as Santa Clause. Interesting.
Do not suffer through the game of chance that plays....always doors to lock away your dreams (To Be Over)
There were a lot more than just the one season, if you count everything listed here:

I only recall the Miami ones as a kid, and then seeing the "classic 39" once we got a UHF TV.
Watching a b&w movie called.....Earth vs. The Spider on Svengoolie.
^ If it's anything like my garage, the spider wins.
That episode is classic! We used to watch it every christmas.
Speaking of which, my wife found out there's a short film or segment from some old English show that people in the UK traditionally watch every New Year's Eve...supposedly. It's this - anyone else heard of watching this as a New Year's Eve tradition? I have no idea why it might have become a tradition - it's funny, but it's not THAT funny.
