My favorite compilation video on Youtube where someone took all the instances of DeForrest Kelley saying "He's dead", and variations thereof, on Star Trek, ending with "He's worse than dead!", Shatner saying, "What is it, Bones? What's the mystery", and then Kelley responds, "His brain has been taken!"

There was also one where someone strung together all the instances of him saying "I'm a doctor, not a...", including "I'm still the chief medical officer aboard this ship!", and "What am I? A doctor? Or a moon shuttle conductor?", and ending with Shatner saying, "You keep saying you're a doctor! Well, are you?!", with Kelley saying, "I don't know", cue dramatic musical sting and...fade to commercial.

I think they're both gone now.

Larry: Hey Moe, you know fish is brain food.

Moe: Then you need to eat a whale. And he slaps Larry across the face.

Haste and laziness, I suppose. Researching his TV background is not the name of my game.

That show was on too late for me to stay up but I think my parents watched it. Somehow I got the impression it was some kind of cool detective show like the later Columbo, McCloud, etc., but later on I found out it was just about people who worked at a magizine.

    Cripes.
I know how to spell magazine, but I guess I forgot how to tipe.

Interesting. I remember the show, but can't say I watched it. I also thought it was a detective show, with a title like that.

Probably either Scott Ian or Dan Spitz. I know both of them are Jewish (or were, anyway, I understand Spitz has converted to Christianity). Probably wouldn't be Frank Bello, Joey Belladonna or Charlie Benante, since they're all Italian, so they're probably Catholics.

Enjoying watching Space 1999 lately. I'm up to the fourth episode now, and it's so far better than I expected. Kinda wish they had left on the spinning ATV logo that used to kick off each episode (same logo you at the start of each Muppet Show), but hey, I guess you can't have everything. Yeah, I know, the whole idea of the moon being blown out of orbit is completely illogical, etc, but I think the writing, effects, acting and music are all pretty good. It's not Doctor Who or Farscape, but close enough for rock n roll.

Agreed. They didn't fall into the trap of 70s sounding music, like other 70s sci-fi shows.

I've seen a couple seasons of Space 1999 on Hulu a few years ago. Martin Landau was a master actor, not sure he was great for sci-fi. But it was a good show.

Just saw him playing an alien in an early Outer Limits episode, "The Man Who Was Never Born."
