I always like the them from The Bill Cosby Show.

And the Sanford & Son theme.

Yup, great solo. Nice and twangy, little bit of overdrive. Great dynamics and feeling in it.

    No, it's Harold.

That was the point of curving the fingers up - if they slipped, they'd go up the forehead, not down into the eyes.

It's not like he ever fed him dog food like Ralph Kramden did.

Ah, yes; Krammar's Delicious Mystery Appetizer. Good one to recall.

I used to record Letterman every night and watch him the next day. I remember this one. I can't believe it's been more than 30 years. Fuck, am I old.

Oh, boy. One's greatest aversion to tasting a particular substance comes out in full glory here! You could hear the audience gag-laughing as he tried them both.

I worked the swing shift, and got home just as Letterman was starting.

I'm sorry, but that is no longer permissible.

From now on you'll have to consider it a Quincy Jones tune called "Hikky Burr".

What a shame, too. I would love to listen to his old comedy albums, which were pretty much the best ever. Of course, that pales in comparison to anything his victims have to live with.

I think you still can listen to his old comedy albums, as they were performed by his prior self and have little (or nothing) to do with his later transgressions or his victims. I actually watched a movie with Kevin Spacey in it the other evening and enjoyed it and his performance. I didn't feel that I was enabling him or that it was disrespectful to his alleged victims to view him in that role.

Well, there's the Spanish Fly piece on one of his records, which I gather a lot of people think is "uncomfortable" now, due to what's come to light. But the rest of the stuff is pretty hilarious, still, things like the Noah suite or They Put A Nut On Every Car, or the piece on Why Is There Air album about the $72 car.

Of course I can listen to them. And I have. But it's a different experience. And, how do we not know he did the same thing back then? People don't just become sex offenders overnight.

There were a few different versions used on the show, and then there were others recorded.

Yeah, Bill kinda ruined his legacy. It's like watching Naked Gun and seeing OJ Simpson.
