    The 2020 NFL Discussion Thread

the Combine necessitates the start of Draft speculation for 2020
Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?

With the bolts moving on from Rivers, seems it'll be a time of rebuilding for my Chargers. Hopefully they can finagle a way to get Tua, with perhaps a short term free agent option for this year. Would be a shame to waste the talent they have now (although they are good at doing that anyway), but so it goes I suppose.

It's not a forgone conclusion that we're picking Tua. I'll take him. Gotta figure he probably won't play in his first year. I say take a chance in the kid. It's all a crap shoot anyway.

MNF was trying to lure him away and you know Disney Corp gots cash. Besides, if he went to ESPN he'd have to do all kinds of extra shit, like daily radio spots. The games he'll do on CBS will always be relevant and higher profile.

A man they gave up on Brees for and who got them nowhere. Seems the Chargers are always rebuilding. But not to just pick on them, it seems there are a handful of teams who have the formula in the modern NFL and the vast majority of other teams totally rudderless.

And now with the Combine and the draft we will hear about all these can't miss prospects who will dominate the league, only to have a small percentage of them make the transition to the pro game and actually have productive careers. And yet I will still watch the first 2 rounds of the draft live...

I was kind of hoping ESPN would get him because Tessitore and Booger are a complete train wreck. They need to do something about the MNF broadcast team.

MNF isn't the job it used to be. SNF benefits from the NFL flex scheduling but that might not go down well for teams to switch days. Maybe it's time to throw dirt on MNF. Mondays wouldn't be the same, but then again, they aren't what they used to be either.

Marshall Yanda retires. That's a giant blow to the Ravens offense.

Is Brady leaving NE? I say he stays. Sign a two year contract and call it a day. Tennessee is not biting on Brady.

Tennessee seems to be all-in on Tannehill. Good luck to them, LOL!

I've said Brady stays in NE since the beginning and I still basically feel that way. If the Pats can demonstrate they can re-tool for another run and give him a 2-3 year commitment, I think he stays. If the Pats think they need to start fresh and want to take a year or two to rebuild, then they'll let Brady walk. I think it has more to do with what Belichick does than Brady. And if Belichick won't commit, I don't think it matters much if Brady stays or goes because I don't think the team will be good enough to win a Superbowl in this short window anyway. But if the Pats start to makes some moves and are looking good, and they make Brady a decent offer, then I think he'll stay, and I still think that is the most likely outcome.

I said it the day after their final game; NE will not let him go. They have no other QB

Ravens traded a fifth round pick for a pro bowl defensive lineman with the Jaguars. The fifth round pick came from the Vikings for a back up kicker who could kick 70 yard field goals but couldn't make the team for the Vikes.

^ I saw that, but he may have been running on reputation. 6 1/2 sacks is a Pro Bowl DE? Still, a 5th isn't much, so a good move by Baltimore.

Ravens recap of first day of negotiating window: trade tight end Hayden Hurst and 4th-round pick to Falcons for 2nd-round pick & 5th-rounder; sign defensive lineman Michael Brockers (and essentially say goodbye to Michael Pierce); cut backup offensive tackle James Hurst; and give low tender to center Matt Skura, a restricted free agent.

Raven could have possibly the best defensive front four going into the 2020 season. I hate seeing Hayden Hurst go because is he good but they hardly ever threw to him.
