I had a somewhat similar thought to the piped in crowd noise. I wonder if they have different 'punch-ins' - labeled as 'Disappointment' ("OOhhhhhh) , 'Disbelief' ("What the f-----") , 'Booing', and finally 'Stampede' (diminishing sound of crowd leaving)

I also wonder if the crowd noise is only to support the home team. I watched the Washington game, and when Haskins underthrew one of the passes, the 'crowd noise' sounded like 'they' were content - I thought that was weird - I wanted the 'Disappointment' punch-in

From my ears, it appeared crowd noise was kept at a continuous sound level throughout the game. I would think there are rules set in place for sound levels.

Everyone here in the Phoenix area was pleasantly surprised when the Cards beat the NFC defending champion 49ers. On their home turf no less...but then, who really has home field advantage when there are no crowds?

So was this Seahawks fan, going to be a really tough division (again) this year. Seahawks looked pretty good. Good to let Wilson actually run an offence, Adams already looks a good signing.

    agree on that one
tie the game and stop them with D, then go for a quick win... or at least there's OT
there's a thin line between gutsy and reckless and McCarthy crossed it

Just watched a replay of a long pass by Ben and his receiver blatantly pushes off the defender to make the catch and no call. I guess it's going to be one of those years.

Barkley only needs 994 more yards to hit a thousand for the year.

As a Giant fan, still had to laugh.

He's an excellent back but nobody is going to get any yards with the D the backfield by the time they get the ball. Gonna be another long year.

The Titans' Rashaan Evans was ejected for punching Jake Butt in the head. Which brings to mind the question...Would he have been ejected for punching Jake Head in the butt?

Hope he doesn't punch Marcus Peters in the head.

Very true. Playing anyone but Pittsburgh, I would have felt bad for him. He is such a gifted player.

I made this prog-related post on a Washington Football Team forum:

    Rejoice! glory is ours!
Our young men have not played in vain,
    Their brows need no flowers
The tapes have recorded their names

    No reactions. Oh well.

So how long before the NY media starts talking Trevor Lawrence derby for the 2 NY teams? I'm watching Bears-Giants and the Giants are awful.

    Good comeback by the Boys.

We lost but it was "a valiant effort."

Isn’t Russell Wilson one of the most exciting quarterbacks? Dude makes things happen!

From bad to worse in Giant land. Barkley has a torn ACL. Well it looks like I'll get a lot done on Sundays because I'm not wasting my days on this dumpster fire of a team this year. Someone call me when they fix the lines, its been years.
