Rightfully so. I couldn't believe they didn't go for it.

No one else but you believes that. Everyone here has a favorite team and everyone wishes their team was relevant, but only four teams were relevant to the conversation yesterday. Are you going to work the Ravens into every post the next two weeks despite the fact they didn't earn a spot in the conference finals... again?
Actually, I think that the Ravens have a great coaching staff except Harbaugh. Harbaugh is football aristocracy and great politician, but. I don’t see where he actually does anything. He certainly hasn’t prevented Lamar slinging passes like a blind person. Lamar has much drive, but that drive needs to be balanced by a brain. Funny thing is that Brady was doing some of that, but the view that D saved the TB, only has a place because of all of the missed catches yesterday.

You can't blame Lamar when they don't have a winnable game plan.

I’m not saying Lamar doesn’t have a brain personally, he doesn’t have enough brains backing him up in the head coaching position.

Yeah, that was pretty stupid. Rodgers was superb in that situation and they took it away from him. As for the PI, that one was so obvious they had to call it. The earlier one on TB should have been called but I believe they just missed that one. They were letting them play so that one didn't bother me so much. Even though I'm a Bucs fan I would have not been pissed if they had called that one.

It would have sucked but a penalty is a penalty even if you don't like the rule. Just like how a catch wasn't a catch for so many years, just gotta suck it up and bite that bullet. I'm still pissed about the non-catch in the NFC title game that got Dungy fired, IIRC. Ah, maybe it wasn't that year he got fired, I don't recall the timeline. No, I believe it was two years later that Dungy got fired, Rams that year won it then they lost to New England then the next year was Chucky as coach, right? Or was that the year they lost to the Rams? Crikey, I seriously can't remember.

That was a bloody catch and they took a SB appearance away from us with stupid rules.

But, I have to eat it. That was two decades ago and it's over. Heck, at least we ain't the Saints. Getting robbed by that missed PI call was sad to see and I don't even like the Saints. That was the most horrible non-call I think I've ever seen.

    Just heard the coolest thing.

Ex NFL player Domonique Foxworth said he's glad he ain't playing after seeing the speed of Tyreek Hill. I'd be scared of that speed if I were a defender.

He soaked the Ravens for four years.

He soaked the Ravens for four years.
He kinda does that to everyone.

With the first offensive snap Brady will have played in 18% of all Super Bowls. That's just ridiculous. That old frakker got Tampa back to a Super Bowl. Gronk is basically just blocking and an afterthought on the offense yet here those two are, again.

I should be happy, my team is playing the SB in their home stadium yet I'm more flipped out that Brady actually did this, even with the number if INT's. Hell, he was Jameis Winston against the Packers and he still won. Almost as old as dirt yet he still does just enough to win. It's really astounding what he has done. I do wonder what JW is thinking after seeing that game.

I still think the Chiefs will win by at least ten points. My sis took them minus the three, I'd probably take them at 9, 9 1/2 points. 10 is a little high but this team is incredible. I don't see a real answer to guarding Kelce or Hill. Take one out, the other kills you. Take them both out and Mahomes will have a field day with whoever he feels like tossing it to. Crikey, Watkins would at least be a #2 receiver on most teams and he's barely doing anything.

For Tampa, the loss of Antonio Brown sucks as he was playing well, and also, playing well with others. He had a complex and he got that shut down somehow. Too addicted to social media, he was, and he disappeared except for game time. Good on him for that. I don't know how his loss will affect the team.

This game really has me flummoxed. It's Brady, FFS! Yet, it's Frakking Mahomes, and Kelce, and Hill, and a whole roster of exceptional athletes that can hurt you badly. They step on necks very well even if you think you have the advantage of a touchdown or two.

Like I said, I'm betting figuratively on KC even though Tampa is my team. Because of Tom and that whole thing, I'm so much more interested in this game for historical significance. I really don't care who wins. I should as a fan, but that fanboi fandom I lost a few years ago. I watch games like some critical OC or DC trying to figure out schemes and such. I'm more interested in the why and how than the result these days.

I have been a Brady fan since he beat "the greatest show on turf"...

    BUT

I have been a Mahomes fan since the first time I saw one of his games over 2 years ago

Tampa has the better D for sure, but that trifecta of Mahomes, Kelce and Hill is an incendiary offense which is hard to beat

I'm split on this one, which is a great thing because, for the first time in the past 40 years, I wont be sad if my team loses since I dont have a team and can just enjoy the game.

    BUT

I generally cheer for the underdogs...

    so... GO TB and TB

No, but I wasn’t happy about the post game crapping on the Ravens that ESPN did. Sure the Ravens had some maturity issues which began last year after losing Ingram, but a normal season without Lamar getting sidelined with COVID would have been more positive. Mainstream sports media has become as crappy as the news media, hype central.

Well, ESPN is the fool's gold of sports journalism. Their coverage of McGregor's rape charges is quite stunning in how they appeased their corporate partners by painting it in a vastly different way than rape.

The Seattle Seahawks say offensive tackle Chad Wheeler is no longer with the team following his arrest on suspicion of felony assault-domestic violence.

The 27-year-old Wheeler is accused of strangling his girlfriend until she lost consciousness.

Photos purportedly of the battered woman circulating on Twitter showed her with a bloodied nose while at a hospital. Text messages allegedly sent by her indicated how “cold” Wheeler was during the alleged attack.

“He thought I was dead on my bed and continued to eat dinner,” the message read. “When I ran into the bathroom, he said, ‘Wow, you’re still alive’ while sipping on a smoothie.”

Ex-Giant Chad Wheeler accused of strangling woman unconscious
The assault took place after Wheeler asked his girlfriend to bow to him, the police report indicates.

Real life is always more horrific than anything Hollywood can devise. I will never understand how a man can put his hands on a woman
in anger. Especially when the man is practically 3 times the size of the woman.

The generalization that a man should never hit a woman was used against Ray Lewis who was slapped sideways by his athletic wife when both were drunk as hell. Certainly from an optics and political standpoint, beware of women because they will cut your privates off

If the Bucs win, it will be the first time that a team defeated a former Super Bowl MVP quarterback in three rounds of the same playoffs.
