Third Mind - new release from an unexpected source

Dave Alvin is normally associated with blues/Americana music and if you go back far enough rockabilly (The Blasters), but his latest release is none of these. Third Mind could be considered progressive, jazz or any number of things. I like it and it's on my buy list.

Some more info about this good album (IMO):

    THE THIRD MIND Track listing:

Journey in Satchidananda (Alice Coltrane) 6:00
    The Dolphins (Fred Neil) 5:17
Claudia Cardinale (David Immergluck, Dave Alvin, Victor Krummenacher, Michael Jerome 2:54
    Morning Dew (Bonnie Dobson) 9:21
East/West (Nick Gravenites, Mark Naftalin) 16:30
Reverberation (Roky Erickson, T. Hall, Stacy Sutherland) 3:54

Bonus Tracks: First Edition CD and vinyl only

I ordered mine, but it's not expected before 2/27 - wanted to get in on the first edition
