Best top prog 30 list out there by a long chalk
But certainly not the top prog cock 47 list.

But not what you don't. I suspect that may have been Cozy's point, kinda.

I own, have owned and/or have heard most every album on this list. I'd place some of the same acts on a list of personal favorites, but different albums. But in no way would I attempt a definitive list of Top 10 anything on the internet, let alone prog albums. This publication should know better; all these acts (and their albums) have conventionally spelled and pronouncable names - amateurs.
Confirmed Bachelors: the dramedy hit of 1883...
Hmmm.... Not bad, I would have included many of these but would have ordered them completely differently. I've established a rule recently that any "top" lists beyond 15 or 20 degenerate to noise very rapidly. And, yes, Transatlantic's first two albums and Spock's Beard's early albums should definitely be ranked higher than their later albums. I'd also have to included Sound of Contact VERY high (top 5 for sure). If I get a chance I'll have to try to come up with a top 20....
it's the internet message board or social media equivalent of a "kick me" sign on your back. They're also rather unnecessary. Of all the Top 10 albums lists, whether prog, pop, jazz, rock or whatever, I usually only care for 5 or 6 of them or wouldn't rank some of them that high. Because, as always, YMMV.
Besides, the concept of Top 10, 20 and higher lists of any kind have, by this point in time, been done to death.
Obviously, this is the Top 30 Prog-list ONLY for the guy who made it.
Face it, we'd all have a different list if we made one...
Only Mongolian nose flute players can be influence by Avant music, 'cause if they're - say - Cambodian nose flute players they wouldn't be influence by Avant music they would be pure Avant music. Neither would Laotian nose flute players be influence but pure Avant music they too.
Just don't ask "what is Avant music?", 'cause we all disagree and then further more we can't explain the nature of pure Avant music vs. what's merely influence by it. For instance, if I play "Heart of the Sunrise" on a nose flute through my rectum, wouldn't that be a bit prog as well - as opposed to just influence by Avant music if I came from Mongolia?

Top 30 POP prog albums since 2000-The Prog Report
Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?

I blame Wynton, what was the question?
There are only 10 types of people in the World, those who understand binary and those that don't.
Umphrey’s McGee ruined this list. Or maybe Phil Collins. I dunno, it was dark.
