What NEW releases are you looking forward to in 2020?

I don't know about y'all, but I'm getting pretty excited about a handful of new, firm leases and more looming on the horizon. Upcoming:

    Intronaut 02/28
    Soften the Glare 03/03
    Pure Reason Revolution 04/03
    Elder 04/27

And also (hopefully) due this year: Echolyn, Helmet of Gnats, and...?

What are others looking forward to?

I am really looking forward to the new Shabaka and the ancestors.

But I am mostly looking forward to all great new discoveries coming my way in 2020.

I didn't know a new Elder album was on the horizon so I'll be saving my coins for that along with Echolyn and Transatlantic.

Is it sad that I have nothing to look forward to? perhaps I am no longer feeling the prog love. 2019 was a slow year. 2020 isnt looking much better. everyone I like is getting old and dropping like flies.
    I got nothin'

    That IS sad. IMHO.

I thought the last few years were stuffed full of amazing new music from younger acts across a wide spectrum of genres. Still early into 2020 but all indications are, my wallet needs to prepare itself for another onslaught

    Again: IMHO.

Getting that new Transsylavantdick boxset-song (spread over 87 separate CDs) alone will set me back another mortgage, John.

I dunno about you, but I'm springing for the vinyl set. With so many trips from the couch to the turntable, I'll probably be dead before I get to the last LP.

I just haven't been bitten by any of it. I try, I really do, but I think there is kind of a 'Mainstream prog" that the newer artists seem to be trying to avoid, so they dont appear to be like everyone else, but the problem is... I like what everyone else is...

"I want all you yung-un's off my lawn.... now!!! "

I'm still mourning Rush, so I dont think I'm up for new "exciting, fresh, never been done before" music. I've noticed that I kind of go in cycles, and I have to catch up every few years. Maybe it's just me, not them. I'm an old man and therefore entitled to be a crabby old bastaad.

At the end of the day, we like what we like...they are our ears to abuse as we see fit

I do hope you can find new music -- be it new old music or new new music -- that excites you as much as the old classics once did
