Compact Disk brought high fidelity to the masses and audiophiles will never forgive it for that
There's much to Czech out while there.

National Bohemian beer, or as we call it here in Baltimore Natty Bo.
NEVER UNDERESTIMATE THE POWER OF STUPID PEOPLE IN LARGE GROUPS!
My wife and I were in Prague years ago. Had a wonderful time. We did all the touristy things in and around the city center, castle, Wenceslas Square, and all points in between, and it was great. You really can't go wrong with any of that and I definitely recommend doing all that stuff if you're so inclined. We didn't get out in the countryside so I can't say much about the surrounding area. I'm sure your daughter can help you out with that, or maybe look online for suggestions outside the city. Have a wonderful time!

Bohemia is completely filled with old mediaevil towns. There are literally too many to choose from. I enjoyed Karlovy Vary and Cesky Krumlov but I havent visited that many others. I am more into hiking and nature.
If you are into landscapes I recommend visiting Bohemian Paradise

And Bohemian Switzerland

But do try to avoid the weekends when visiting those places. They are very popular with the locals.
Been in Prague a couple of days now. Beautiful city. Yes, it has its tourist traps but also a lot of history I hadn't heard before. And it's cold. Really cold. But, this is a once-in-a-lifetime trip... sometimes you just gotta go for baroque.
Not to make this a Facebook kinda thread or anything, but I'm kinda surprised that we were able to go to Germany on a train and no one asked to see a passport either direction.
^^ That would be a function of the EU (European Union). It's exactly like no passport being required to travel between states in the US.

^^ The Eurozone is separate from the EU. The UK kept the pound while a member of the EU, that membership ending within the last month, with Brexit going into effect.

I was surprised at the amount of graffiti in Prague
^^ Had the UK joined the Euro Zone, Brexit would've been all but impossible. Good or bad, depending on one's point of view. On the latest Steve Hackett DVD/Blu-Ray, the keyboardist has a "F*** Brexit" sticker on one of his keyboards. He would fall in the latter category.
