Of course the three Bruford-albums are fantastic, but also the only albums this unit made, so if you go for this option too, I could add Happy The Man, Crafty Hands and Better Late or even UK, Danger Money and Night After Night (after all, that last one contains new stuff).

Thank you for posting that. As I expand my Magma collection, I will bear that in mind.

Yeah, I couldn't figure out a Chicago sequence either. I, II, V, VII are brilliant. Not a fan of III, and VI is weak.

Please don't ignore Heart's "Magazine." Yes, the finished product was contractual, but the half-album of original material contained therein was recorded with all the passion of their other likewise material, as it was meant to form the basis of their new album. That 22-min of music is amazing, and as good as anything they ever released.

    Lol.

For Hammill, I'd also go with The Future Now/PH7/Black Box (the three that followed, Sitting Targets/Enter K/Patience, were none too shabby either!)

Miles Smiles/Sorcerer/Nefertiti is a pretty decent run!

Magazine is one of their best songs, up there with Little Queen for instance, and Here Song and Just the Wine are very nice. If they could have ditched the two live songs and rerecorded this, it might be a worthy successor to Little Queen. (although I must say that I do like their live rendition of I've Got the Music In Me even though its fairly cheesy)

Not Prog-Rock, but for me, these three edge out Genesis' run of Trespass, Nursery Cryme, and Foxtrot.

    Spriguns -Revel Weird and Wild

    Spriguns -Time Will Pass

Mandy Morton & Spriguns -Magic Lady
