Do we have any credits for the Oscillospira collaboration? Did they compose this together?

I only have the bandcamp download but there are no further credits avialable. The only other musician that is credited is Morgen Agren. Maybe the CD-booklet has more details.

    Regards,
    Tomás.

Absolutely great album! It has grown and grown on me since I got it.

Not really in the 'avant' bag to my ears, but none the worse for that.

You can also get it on vinyl from Dur et Doux (or D&D as they are known in my house):

I'm liking what I've heard here -they are reminding me of Gosta Berlings Saga but with more guitar and less keyboards. I must investigate further.

I just picked up the 2017 album from Colonel Fuckface und die Honigmelonen, which is part of the Boltzplatz stable:

    https://colonelfuckface.bandcamp.com

Noisy, shouty, with trumpet. I dig it. Also, if there's going to be a band called Colonel Fuckface und die Honigmelonen, I'm going to buy their album.

EDIT: Boltzplatz Records are donating all proceeds of their sales to charity until 30 June. So now is a good time to buy one of their nasty records even if you think it sounds awful. Friday June 5th will be an even better time.

I’ve only seen Guapo live once, which was the album launch gig for History of the Visitation at Corsica Studios. They fucking destroyed.

During the set I was standing just by a bloke who looked rather like Daevid Allen & who was evidently really digging it. After a while I realised why he looked rather like Daevid Allen. Sadly missed.

Daevid had asked me to join Gong a couple of weeks earlier, having never heard me play, so this gig felt like an audition.
For years I used to do a kind of gliss thing with a drumstick, a la Sonic Youth, it sounded cool and I never gave it much thought but I remember feeling somewhat self-conscious doing it this particular night!

    Ha! No pressure then...

I can only give the view of one person in the audience, but if there was any nervousness it didn't come across to me at all. I thought it was a great gig and remember it fondly. My wife had a good time too.

I got delivery of five albums today from Chris Cutler's ReR Megacorp. Among them cd Song For Adults (2005) by NIMBY. This is album of "pop" songs by James Grigsby (5uu's, U Totem). Bob Drake and Dave Kerman are on this too. Fun stuff!

^ That's a great one, and not only when coming from grumps in their 50s. Fabulously produced too; the bass and drums in particular sound out of this world.

The three previous albums are very much worth your time if you like the new one. Composer / arranger / lyricist / singer & instrumentalist Stefano Giannotti is a bit of a genius, I think. Sadly I don't have the Italian to easily appreciate the lyrics in the original, but the CD booklets have excellent English translations.

So, the album Éons by Neptunian Maximalism is out today on weird metal label I, Voidhanger:

    https://i-voidhangerrecords.bandcamp.com/album/ons

Why should you check it out?

    1. Musical genre: spiritual jazz / drone metal / spaced-out raga rock / blackened psychedelia.

    2. It's from Belgium.

    3. It's a concept triple CD.

    4. The concept relates to the “probocene era” when, following the decline of mankind, Earth will be ruled by a race of superior intelligent elephants.

    5. Easily the most interesting and exciting new music I’ve heard this year.

Warning: YMMV and you may think it is bollocks. You will be wrong though.
