Thread: New Rick Wakeman prog album

  1. #51
Just a question: Would anyone here know where I can get the expanded/re-recorded King Arthur, either on CD or vinyl? It was selling at his tour last fall and I should have bought it then, but now the RWCC site lists it as unavailable. Googling it just gives a million versions of the old KA. Any help would be appreciated, thanks...

My thoughts exactly, I'm also awaiting camples.

Be prepared to pay through the nose for a cample signed by Rick.

I heard the album was going to be music, however with an interlude in the middle of Rick doing his stand-up comedy routine. Subtitle will be The Best Of Both Worlds.

Will there be a scratch-and-sniff version available to accompany the fart jokes?

Get on your knees and kiss your bear rug that that can't/won't happen, because one of Rick's Grumpy Old Rock Star books details in short order how (his bassist) Lee Pomeroy is the Fartmaster General. He cleared an entire bus!

I thought "That is so childish to mention" but then had an image of people scrambling to get off the bus after the Pomeroy bomb, and laughed.

Don't forget Lee's Cheshire grin right before he let it go!

Is there any mention of what is going to be on the DVD?

Given that the release is loosely modeled after A Passion Play, no.

My guess is that a lot of this new Red Planet disc plus some of Jon's 1000 Hands *is* the material they worked on together. It might simply be a matter of economics. It's possible (in the UK anyway) that a Rick solo CD would substantially outsell ARW or Yes featuring ARW or whatever they want to call it.

I'm looking forward to this BTW. Pre-ordered the "cadet" package.

Amen, bro... Me too. Journey still finds its way into my CD player on a regular basis. Besides I don't see how anyone could not love a piece of music that features inflatable dinosaurs...

Don't you mean A Passing Play?

The description from the "Science Officer" package mentions " DVD with surround sound, interviews, and other extras. "

    That sounds pretty good, actually.

I also need the re-recorded King Arthur. I thought I saw it on Burning Shed's site at one time, I'll check again Brett.

I know I've seen the recent re-recording of The Journey to the Center of the Earth still being sold, but haven't seen King Arthur.
