as has been stated numerous times in the RiP thread and several online eulogies no other drummer has been more frequently air-drummed to in concert halls, sitting rooms, studies or man caves everywhere. it’s an incomparable sight which is indelibly linked to peart and RUSH and reveals a lot about the craftmanship and its appreciation by those in the know.

therefore let’s instate this day to keep the memory and the legacy alive. i am certain everyone here will abide the passing of neil peart as one does with other fallen luminaries. will post or tweet a faux-percussive workout on the anniversary.

I like this idea, and hope you get traction with it, but I humbly suggest you change the date to Neil's birthday, September 12. Birthdays are just a lot more celebratory than the dates people die on, and are traditionally the dates that are chosen for holidays that honor individuals.
