Steeleye Span 50th Anniversary Tour CD's + DVD's

Once again, I was rummaging around the Park Records Site and found this new Release from Steeleye Span. It says "Limited Release" so I wouldn't count on it being there too long.

It's 2 CD's and 2 DVD's....delivered to my door in the USA?...$36.96.

Their Last release (Est. 1969) was a CD-R! That pisses me off a bit. The DVD's? PAL or NTSC? I have a Universal DVD player so no problem.

When they arrive, I'll post my findings on the quality / compatibility.

As a special release for their 50th Anniversary Tour, this 4 disc set provides everything a Steeleye Span fan could want. This limited edition release consists of two halves. Included are 2 CDs and accompanying DVD of the live concert at Epsom Playhouse in April 2019, featuring songs from across the decades including material from the very earliest days of the band right through to the latest album, EST’D 1969.

Also included is a bonus DVD of selected tracks from the band’s incredible live show at the Buxton Opera House in October 2018, showcasing the power and dynamics of their live show. Also included on this disc is A Brief History – The Steeleye Span Documentary, the first documentary made of the band in many years with interviews from Maddy Prior, Martin Carthy and a host of other Span alumni as well as a few of their biggest fans.

With so much contained within, this release is a fitting showcase of a band embracing it’s past, present and future.

First, thanks for the heads up on this.

I wrote to Park Records to inquire about this set. Specifically, were these going to be CD-Rs & DVD-Rs, despite the advertising on their web page (like the Est album was) or would they be real CDs/DVDs? It took a bit, but I received a reply, and as suspected, this 50th Anniversary set is going to be comprised of CD-Rs/DVD-Rs. However, I've been assured that these are "genuine from the distributors and not copies."

Just arrived this afternoon....Mailed Oxford UK 12/30....arrived Washington State 1/8! PDQ!

Loaded into iTunes just fine...they are CD-R's.

going to watch the DVD's (R) tonight.
