    New Hooffoot up on Bandcamp!

Been eagerly awaiting this one...their debut was GREAT! Don’t see anything on the Bandcamp page about availablility of physical media though they do reference both CD and LP in the description, but the digital download is available right now:

I blame Wynton, what was the question?

Auto buy. Download is fine, by me. Can't wait to hear it! Could be a late contender in the albums of the year sweep-stakes.

    Record Heaven (available from tomorrow)
Just For Kicks (available for order)
    Wayside (..in a few days)
Sound Effect (stock has been shipped, available any day now)'

First listen, started out sounding very generic fusion, but it's getting its hooks into me now.

    currently listening

for sure an order and definitely (even after only one listen) a spot in the top 10 of the year.
my music collection increased tenfolds when I switched from drug-addicts to complete nutcases.

One spin in. Not sure what to make of things just yet. Very interesting, and different from the first album. Need more spins, but already that last track is a monster.

Has anyone other than me recieved the new Hooffoot cd?
I got mine today and I wonder if it is just my copy that is in mono?
I have tried it on 3 different players and listened both in headphones and in speakers with same result.
Switched between mono and stereo mode on my mixing desk and I cannot hear any difference.
But all soundfiles I have found on hooffoot.com, bandcamp and YouTube are in "glorious stereo".
Something gone wrong in the pressing?

“Bad news, It’s a mess, sad but true.
I am so so sorry to tell you.
YOU NEED TO STOP ALL SALES of
    the new Hooffoot CD!

We are devestated to have discouvered that all CDs have been printed in mono!!?
Again, we are so so so sorry about this error.
Meanwhile, here is a suggestion on what info to write out on the webshop.
”due to manufacturing problems with this CD, delivery has been delayed”

Highest priority is for me to get back to you with delivery date for new CDs.”

Yikes! You have to wonder how that gets through quality control.

They don't check the sound when they first press the disc?

The manufacturer, sorry if I'm sounding dense, I work in manufacturing and the idea of that kind of error getting out of the building is a bit mindblowing. I'd exoect there to be a sample spec of the sound file to check the first run against before full production was ok'ed.

Normally (normally only means normal for Cuneiform), you give the factory a approved DDP digital file as the master and they insure that the finished product is the same as that DDP file.

It shouldn’t change or whatever, but shouldn’t and don’t aren’t synonymous....

guess this is an isolated instance where the dl music fans got the better copy
Why is it whenever someone mentions an artist that was clearly progressive (yet not the Symph weenie definition of Prog) do certain people feel compelled to snort "thats not Prog" like a whiny 5th grader?
