    Peter Goes Camping

It looks like Peter Gabriel has moved his solo discography to Bandcamp.

It's interesting that an artist of his stature is using the site. Though, good for us, since we should be able to get higher rez FLAC files, rather than MP3s.
I prefer getting music through Bandcamp, anyway, since the artist gets a better percentage of each sale.

This is great news. When the first news of the Flotsam and Jetsam collection hit, it was only available in lossy MP3s. I'm happy to get these in FLAC.
I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart

Bandcamp is the platform of the future.

But what's this? Humor from Mr. Gabriel?

On the one hand, I suppose I'm a PG completist, which isn't too hard to be if you think about it. I've got pretty much everything else he's put out. And there are some (a few) true rarities on this. The FLAC is definitely a selling point. OTOH, it's 30 quid for a digital download of an odds-and-sods collection mostly remixes and live versions of familiar tunes. A dilemma...

Do what I did: sample all the songs. Decide what's worth a buck and what isn't.

I love PG - kept me and my teenage friends enthused in the early 80’s when everyone else from the 70’s seemed to have given up and Bandcamp is my go to store for music. Seems like a great partnership.

For me it'll be fast and easy: Passion , period. Nothing else in his solo discography, sorry.
