    Update from Dale on Geezer

Hey all- specifically Da Midwest Gang: Didn't want to get anyone worried (because I didn't know enough) but our dear friend Geezer has been in the hospital the past two weeks- actually the hospital and a care/rehab residence. He'll be home tomorrow. I spoke to him tonight and he is in good spirits. We had a jovial talk and I promised to come up and visit him soon. As always, he will abstain from FB but will resume posting on PE shortly. In fact, it's our good friend Ed Stephens who was the first to notice his several day absence on PE and grew concerned. All is well, on the whole, but he is in need of making some concessions to age. Odds are, he won't travel much but, as he said, he and Madison aren't going anywhere any time soon!

Ian, I was curious, thanks for the update. It sounds like good news.

In an odd bit of synchronicity, I was looking through a folder of pictures - all joke pics and some going back to the early 00s. I found the photo of Lino in drag. And then, there's Geezer, slumped against a doorway at some prog function. It had been apparently a long night. I forget the story. I certainly wasn't there. But it used to be fun to post now and then (not as fun as the post of "Lina" - that's priceless). Here's to Steve and whatever his new restrictions, may he still be able to fly his freak flag high.

    Thanks for the update, Ian.

Here's hoping Steve doesn't have to curtail his habits/behavior too much.

Seriously, glad to hear he's okay and getting to come home so soon. Hope to hear from you soon, Steve!

Man... I wish I had known you guys back then and gotten to be in on some of the hijinks. It sounds like you all made some good memories together.

This is from Dale. For some reason my messages don't register as they are sent.

Hey - called Pete tonight. Geezer will be home tomorrow. Has to make the necessary adjustments for being old- a cane, stuff at home and in the bathroom and such. Pete gave me the wrong number so no wonder I never got an answer. Then, he sent me the 'correct' one just now- disconnected! Oh man! I'll try him tomorrow night when I get home from work.
hey- just spoke to THE MAN!
his spirits are up, we had a good talk. he's home tomorrow and doing reasonably well

The Smithsonian once had Dillinger’s schlong preserved and displayed. We are not there yet but the will need a new space for Ripley’s Believe it or Not new winner. Get well Steve! The Chapel Hill crew believes he will be back next ProgDay.

That was Lino? I thought it was Alex Lifeson.

Glad to hear Steve is going home.

That picture of the Geezer you are referring to was taken at a ProgDay after-party several years ago. Steve almost pulled an Elvis on us by falling asleep on the throne.

Exactly! It was the after-hours party at Josef Kalna's house on the Saturday night of ProgDay in 2011. Geezer, Paulie, and myself were all bunking at Josef's. He organized a party that included a belly dancer as the main event and at least a half dozen bottles of absinthe. We did not go through them all of course, but we got fairly plastered. At one point the Geezer "disappeared". We then noticed the main floor bathroom door had been locked for quite some time. Josef picked the lock and the Geezer was out on the throne...

    Good times...

We had both the go-go dancer (Jasmine) and the belly dancer (Stacey) that night.

    Geez was seriously bent.
