Hey folks, just wanted to let folks know that my debut solo album will drop on 12/3/19. I'll pre-release a few tracks and share here.

Election day seemed to be a good day to drop the first track from the upcoming album. This song, America, features Roy Strattman on guitar, Luis Nasser (Sonus Umbra) on bass, Jeff Gard (Grackle) on drums, and John Lieto (Frogg Cafe) on Trombone.

I don't know if you've read the 2 threads about my recent medical issues, other SK, but I just want you to know that while I really no longer buy any new music (combination of not enough space & life expectancy), in this case I will be making an exception.

It's not because of what I consider to be our close friendship since 2007 or the fact that other good friends of mine (some departed, some still here) are on the album.

It's because imo, "America" is your masterpiece, Doc! You know how long and how much (I was a fan before I was a friend) I've loved your musical vision(s), but that song (and the video as well) just floored me completely!

I think that in a month or so after I'm up for company, Dale & Luis are planning a trip up to Madison. I'm already looking forward to that.

Big hugs to you & the Italian broad!

    Dear Steve,

You post means the world to me. Heal up quickly and let me know when you might be up for company.

I know full well that my friend would never go near the hubris it would take to bump a thread about his own music, but at this point in my life, I don't really care about that.

I've been listening to Steve's music since 2006 (yeah, I was a few years late) and have been making and listening to music myself for over 62 years (lead vox in an acapella doowop group at 12 1/2 back in 1957).

Do yourself a big favor and listen to Steve's "America" posted above.

I figure it's worth it for one of the most powerful, cogent musical observations I have heard in a long, long time.

    So......BUMP!!!

My new album, Hidden Village, has been released! You can find it in all your favorite online music stores. In addition to the typical digital release, I have also made it available as a 24-bit HD audio file for those of you with discerning ears. A very limited number of CDs were manufactured, all signed, and only available via the bandcamp site. Thanks in advance for your support! And thanks to all the amazing musician-friends who made this release possible. Feel free to share this post.

I've had a chance to listen to it all the way through once so far and here are my initial impressions of it.
