I didn't have time to listen earlier, but found this song to be quite easy on the ears. Love the guitar/vocals and lyrics. Everything is nice and tight on this one, great job Michael.

Really nice Bob..very soft and gentle with subdued organ in the beginning.
Love the orchestral transitions which really add a cinematic feel to the song.

Hi Clivey, welcome to the forum, and thanks for posting here on the SC page.
I'm not much into Ambient Jazz, but I appreciate the amount of work and creativity an artist puts into creating a song.
I read a bit of your bio, and it looks like you've been doing this for a long time, and that is wonderful.
Music can be such an expression of ourselves, our emotions, our thoughts and feelings expressed about things in our lives or going on in the world around us.
I think you captured that in this piece, and it also encourages abstract thinking which is always good.

Thanks for the welcome. I love to try different ideas and that piece was 100% improvisation on top of 3 HG Fortune synths providing the percussive elements . Zero editing of the Hammond or Soprano, just the fade. If it sounds rough then it aught to considering it took less than half an hour to complete.
Many of the pieces on my Bandcamp releases can take weeks but I reserve my soundclick for demos and early mixdowns.

It's a German Grand in a large studio acoustic setting. Part of Arturia's Piano V2 collection. That orchestral style is something Eberhard used often. An oboe or clarinet, usually played by Paul MacCandless (of Oregon and Paul Winter fame), with a string synth in the background. It was often a bit dissonant and slightly atonal and mysterious sounding and finally resolving at the very end.

If you haven't heard his recordings you should check them out. I call it "European Jazz", very classical sounding.

Kinda of quiet over here, so thought I'd drop a song I just finished today.
I've been recovering from a stingray sting in my foot for over a month now, it got infected..blah blah and I've been limited in my activity, plus it's all been pretty exhausting.
I revisited some music I had started back in May and threw everything in a pot, let it stew for 24hrs, add some garnish and mix it.

It's been years since I've done an Instrumental, but too darn tired to get the pipes warmed up to sing. lol

I will be doing a video for Youtube, but wanted to share the Soundcloud version here with you great folks.

Thanks for listening Bob, and glad you could feel the seasons on this one.
I just listened to Infrared, and it's really good. A bit of dark tone reminds me in places of the Doors, and Canada's Tea Party.
Love the Hammond part you added, nice and gritty without being overpowering. You let the sound flow with the vibe of the music, and love it when you open the mod wheel for a leslie vibrato sound(if that's how you're doing it, or maybe a foot pedal?).

I think it's great you're collaborating. I remember when you first posted here several years ago, you had just gotten the Arturia controller and software and getting back in the game after time away from recording music.
You've come a long way my friend, and I mean that!

It is sooooo much easier collaborating with talented people rather than having to come up with the song, the drums, the bass, the piano, the melody, the etc. Playing just one part and giving it your all to the benefit of the song is what we should be doing as musicians.

Personally I love composing the most. Writing the stuff for others to play. In my case that is the computer, though I rather would have talented musicians playing their part and perhaps have some input.
