    Disclaimer: I don't speak French.
That was REALLY GOOD. I listened to the original and your cover, and you did excellent on covering the parts.
My only language is "merican"...lol, so I don't know what was going on, but I LOVED the keyboard parts, the main one like being at a circus.

I LOVE THIS Clivey. Lyrics and your vocals are absolutely wonderful. You have such a organic, down to earth, life lived vocals, I really enjoy them.
Sax and guitars are perfect, I like the panning to the left and right on the guitars.
You have it titled as 1st mix, I really like this mix, so if you don't feel the energy or desire to do another mix, this one works fine.
    Bravo!!

Thanks for listening Richard and for the kind comments.
I gently edited and remixed it and put it up on my Bandcamp page if you fancy relistening.
I really need to decide where I am headed re a concept for my next set of pieces. So much stuff happening on the planet to call on for inspiration these days and most of it grossly bad unfortunately.

Checked out the Bandcamp upload and it's great you left the original mix pretty much close to it.

I know what you mean about drawing inspiration from everything that's happening in the world.
It's a good way of exorcising some of our own emotions as well, but I try to keep some amount of positivity in my songs, we all need some hope at the end of the tunnel.
    Good luck on your project.

Monology EP is constructed mainly of leftover ideas from the writing sessions for Lis Jonito and is composed of two half-epics. Musically, it's a love letter to 70's over the top keyboard driven symphonic prog and its revisited incarnation which bloomed in the 90's/2000's, mainly Refugee, Emerson Lake & Palmer and The Tangent.

I enjoyed this Clivey, love your vocals and lyrics. Interesting choice to pan the guitar to the right.
What synth is doing the lead starting around the middle and forward.
Very creative, great job on this.."waiting for something to happen" is a great earworm phrase and your vocals are wonderful on this song.

day'um....you've got some tasty organ chops going on in Atmos Dingo, nice interplay between that and piano.
I really like how the song opens up after the 1 minute plus mark.
Very creative and a nice nod to the 70's prog we all know and love.

Thanks again for listening and the very kind comments. My guitars are actually panned left and right. One going through an autowah then classic flanger then tubebaby vst. Other side is simply going through Boogex vst.

The mono synth is courtesy of DIVA vsti which is a cracker of a plugin. Can't remember preset but I always alter them ever so slightly anyway
There's also a tiny Tron flute frill I put in to fill a 1 bar section . I could have played it on flute as everything is at hand .
Most of everything I am getting done is kinda Vapour for me ie it's arriving in reaction to stuff going on in my hectic life. Some good but a lot to do with mortality and humanity in relation to mother earth. I am pagan and have been for a long time. I just didn't know it. I see myself as being a simple spore of the planet and of pretty well zero consequence. .

Anyway it's mix number 2 and I may tidy it up later for some future album release.

Diva is on my to-buy list but the problem is that whenever I try to save up for it, I have to make another important purchase.

I have recently been beset with tech problems including my 31 year old Spirit Folios Impossible to find for less than 80 power supply dying, bits falling off my 1935 Tenor Sax. A roof leak and Central heating leaking. Really I bought my Djembe just in time . Though that was less than 20 from China Unbelievable.

I suppose the roof and central heating have priority.

Sorry to hear about some of the stuff going on with you, and then you throw on top of it all, the absolute shitestorm going on in the world, and it's enough to cause even the greatest optimist cause for concern.
All we can do is put a seatbelt on and ride it out. And even the tough times we endure personally tend to have ebb and flow.
I think you're more than a spore and contribute more to the vibes of this world, than zero.
    Keep on truckin buddy!

Hello all! Been a while. Life intrudes now and then and things get complicated. But - now that things are settling down again... I'm (we're) back - I see I have a ton of great stuff to listen to on the board (since I have last been here) and a new one of my own to contribute. This one is a bit rough on the - well - everything. Consider it a demo at this point. For all who give it a listen - thank you very much! https://soundcloud.com/aranami_part2/surrender I could not fit it on the old page so started a new one (link to the old one in the sig as well as a link to a bunch of more "rock" oriented material)

Wow!!! this is great. Love how the song develops, different sections to carry the song into ONE.
Writing/recording/production/lyrics/instruments and vocals are 5 stars.

I'm sorry things in life have been complicated, but through it all you have this crowning jewel of music.
Congrats! I really really like this one.Good as a lot of prog music I've heard these days.

Wow another epic. Loads of great stuff .Guitars , vox, synths and songsmithing.

I will listen again for a 3rd time soon.

Y.Know. And this ain't a criticism at all. I would love to hear you guys with a Jazz style drummer some time. The rock kit fits fine but I can't help thinking.
    Love it.

I listened to some snippets of this epic masterpiece. I will need to dedicate some time to listen start to finish. What an accomplishment! very polished and new and interesting, from what I've heard so far. Definitely will give the whole thing a shot when I can dedicate the time. Congratulations on this accompluishment.

Merry Christmas everybody! Here is this year's Christmas tune that my wife and I do every year. She handles the flute on this one. I couldn't think of a cover to do, so I came up with this. Hope you like it and have a wonderful holiday and New Year!

Here's the whole batch of Christmas tunes we've done over the last 13 years.

Always look forward to this time of year, and your music celebrating it.
Love the acoustic guitar and it's wonderful you and your wife can create this together. Great harmonies and flute as well.
Thank you to the both of you, and have a Merry Christmas. May the spirit of Love and Peace shine into people's hearts, causing the darkness to fade away.
