A great organ-psych/hard-rocker from 1970 with commentary by Zaragon:

“Pleasure and pain can be experienced simultaneously,” she said, gently massaging my back as we listened to her Coldplay CD.

    I don't know how I could've forgotten a favorite of mine since '84....

I so dig this tune. Too bad it never made the album. Some really great work from Ritchie on this one.

Can this be the swan song? The final elbow?

Always loved this one from the Coop:

"And your little sister's immaculate virginity wings away on the bony shoulders of a young horse named George who stole surreptitiously into her geography revision."

I second this. Great heavy-duty instrumental guitar rock/metal with his drummer bro.

Can't forget this album. It smokes!

Ronnie's Open Fire was a classic - I have an old vinyl copy but it took forever to find a digital copy. I see now it's part of a Montrose CD box so I might have to just spring for that.

I know I heard that Ace Frehley instrumental back in the day but all I remember is "New York Groove", a song I have never fallen out of love with.
I don't like country music, but I don't mean to denigrate those who do. And for the people who like country music, denigrate means 'put down.'- Bob Newhart

Open Fire is indeed a classic - I'd go so far as to call much of it metallic jazz or jazzy metal - but "Leo Rising" isn't "hard rock" by any definition I know. Great track, but acoustic as the day is long.

I was lucky enough to see Ronnie on the "Open Fire" tour. It was an amazing show, and I was two seats away from the stage (not that there were any seats very far from the stage; it was quite a small club.)

Is it too... mmm... unconventional to count?

I posted some random tracks because there isn't a single "full album" file on YT at the moment. I simply recommend the whole thing, just like everyone else who's a fan.
