I recently picked up this reunion album by the dB's and I'm digging it, especially the last 2 tracks.
Any other fans of this late '70s/early '80s, power-pop band?

“The only truth is music.”
― Jack Kerouac
Hard to avoid down here back in the day, especially if you were already exposed to Big Star, Television, and a Byrds diploma in hand. Along with Let's Active, Pylon, Guadalcanal Diary, the db's were of course overshadowed by the success of R.E.M., but I'm sure it didn't hurt. I was very much into this stuff in the early eighties, gravitating towards other similar acts from outside of GA such as Tommy Keene and certainly the Mats. No guitars, no lawnmower.
My other 80's obsessions were Marillion and IQ. So go figure.
My band used to play their song "Amplifier." Loved the album that was on, but not familiar with all their work, or the newest album,
