Doesn’t really matter when it was released. I first listened to W&W in the late summer, so for me it works perfectly well as a transition into autumn.

Steely Dan’s Pretzel Logic does the same for me.

David Sylvian - Secrets of the Behive is the perfect late summer/ early autumn album for me.

I thought as much... release date Dec 17th 1976.. I remember we listened to it a lot that winter.. To my ears it always spoke winter.. to each their own..

Yeah it has a feel of the sun still being out, for me. Starting with the opening lyrics. And 'One For The Vine' and 'Wot Gorilla' especially. It sounds like September for me pretty much throughout. But then I recall listening to it in September and 'Blood On The Rooftops' fitting the mood so perfectly.

Technically that would have still been autumn though, not winter.

Yes, shame on me as well! It seems so obvious in hindsight.

Simply one of my favourite albums of all time, and it starts with September, so it is perfect for autumn.

It won't be visible through the air

Weezer "The Last Days Of Summer"
Death Cab For Cutie "Summer Skin"

And Biffy Clyro's "Fingers And Toes" contains this lyric:

    When the summer ends
    You can feel it
Cause the walls come closing in
    Don't conceal it
It's good to feel alone sometimes

    Love me some Biffy!!!

    Rush - Time Stand Still

Summer’s going fast, nights growing colder
Children growing up, old friends growing older
Freeze this moment a little bit longer
Make each sensation a little bit stronger

Perfect song for a day like today in Michigan: leaves falling and a slight rain...
