I sure loved the Rebirth album, this one sounds promising too. It's a good world when you have two Goblins producing music.

At least here in Colorado both versions of Goblin will be performing within a month of each other.

No Boston date. Boo. I would have been there.

Looking forward to my day in court.

I looked on the other Goblin's website, and there's no info about any tour dates.

I see no Cleveland date for Don Simonetti's group, but I might be able to swing a visit to either Chicago, Detroit, Pittsburgh, or Baltimore. I'll have to look into this.

If you don't already have it, get Four of a Kind, the second album of originals by the Claudio-less lineup.

There is more than the OP's post for a U.S. Tour - There's Canada, Japan, and Germany. Just sayin'.
What can this strange device be? When I touch it, it brings forth a sound (2112)

I'm honestly shocked to see Simonetti release genuinely new music. He seemed to be caught in a fairly endless cycle of re-releasing new versions of old songs (IMHO to seriously diminishing returns).

At least on first listen, this sounds pretty good. Not throwing away Roller or Suspiria for this, but I'm happy to see it happened and if it ends up filed alongside Goblin Rebirth or Four of a Kind in terms of quality, I'm good with that

If anyone finds a link to the Goblin Rebirth / BackToTheGobin lineup touring North America, it'd be great if you could share it here. I've not found much info myself but would gladly see them again.
If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

Also, Ephemeral Sun: it's a thing and we like making things that might be your thing: https://ephemeralsun.bandcamp.com

They all recycle their stuff to death, 4 Goblin have an album of redone from stuff of Suspiria and "Dawn of the Dead" called Fearless.

Goblin Rebith had no activity this year so far..

Yep...and Simonetti hasn't been totally uncreative, as he's done a handful of soundtracks. But in truth, the last NEW thing he did that engaged me musically was Non Ho Sonno. Whereas the other cats did BackToTheGoblin, Four of a Kind and then Goblin Rebirth (which is pretty much the same, with different guitarist). Guarini also did a pretty good solo album too.

Both have milked their legacy pretty heavily too though, yes.

Nobody knows why Claudio hesitated recording new music for so long, but I'll buy the new album without hesitation. Yes, I did buy last year's George A. Romero's Dawn Of The Dead, but I haven't gotten every rerelease. Claudio also released a remix of Demons. The Goblin guys are getting serious mileage out of their catalogue.

BacktotheGoblin 2005 is still my favorite original post-Non Ho Sonno album. We'll see how The Devil is Back stacks up. I like "Agnus Dei" a lot. Here's a teaser for "Brain Zero One."

I'm most fond of Goblin Rebirth ... and that lineup's setlist when they came through on tour was FANTASTIC.

But, I'd say all three are pretty solid overall.

I thought Rebirth and Four of a Kind were both excellent.

Simonetti was re-issuing stuff released by Daemonia as Goblin a few years back. I bought a Dawn of the Dead re-recording by Simonetti's Goblin that was the same as one from a few years ago by Daemonia. I took it back and got a refund! There might have been a few different live tracks on it.

I'm sure that one of the 'real' Goblin members is ill so a planned tour was cancelled.

Looks like the other Goblin show has been cancelled. But Simonetti's is still on, so I'm looking forward to that.
