17 discs of material from two albums and two live double albums, eh? I can only assume we are looking at lots of unreleased jams, previously unavailable live material and videos to make up 17 discs. Crickey.

Much like The Early Years sets, likely the super deluxe comes out first, and then smaller more reasonably priced "sub sets" come out a bit later? Hope so.

Will the rumored reworking of Momentary Lapse be in this? Hmmm.

I'm kind of relieved I have no interest in this era, what with the TD set I bought and the Gong and Crimson ones to come....bring them on though, I'm a sucker for these things !

I agree this is the weakest part of their history.
What can this strange device be? When I touch it, it brings forth a sound (2112)

They'll probably pad it with the solo albums.

Yeah...depending on what's on this it may be a strong pass overall, but if I get any of it, it will be through whatever breakdown of material is released later on.

Too much money for too little, especially when we are talking Dehydrated Floyd.

None of those links is working in a meaningful way, at least for me. Only the UK one seems to work at all, but it doesn't even include the title.

I can't imagine dishing out 420 pounds for this stuff. Being a yuuuuge Pink Floyd fan, it makes me wonder who the target audience is for this. Yuppies who grew up in the late 80's and 90's?

What I would really like is A Delicate Sound of Thunder and Pulse on Blu Ray, I cant imagine I would pay £400+ for whatever this contains. Lets hope there's some smaller boxes too..

does anyone know what they mean by restored, and who did the remix?
I don't get the point of this release other than to squeeze more $$$ from diehard fans, and I am a big Pink Floyd fan of both versions of the band.
I even picked up the 2016 remastered versions on vinyl of Dark Side, Animals, Wish and The Wall, but I'm out on this one.

It's getting a bit obvious, especially by one of my favorite bands Genesis(Peter and Phil era) with every other year a new "must have" rewashed, re-imagined mix mastered on 14K vinyl...16cd/18 vinyl/10 cassette BOXSET including Peter's vocal warmup demos while sitting in the loo before a show.

    IMHO

That's more than a small price-to-value discrepancy. I am suspecting the ratio of content to price may be a bit closer in the long haul.

Waiting for the official bits before voting one way or another. I *do* like the late Floyd and would be happy to have some of these extras if the final asking price is reasonable.
If you're actually reading this then chances are you already have my last album but if NOT and you're curious:

Hey, at least 11 of those discs are remixes of U.K. doing Floyd-covers in the bathroom of their rehearsal-space, extravagantly adjusted, combusted, engineered, remastered, mixed and plastered by Ed Jobberson himself. Comes with a stickerposter of him wearing a Floyd t-shirt.

As gorgeous as this box is, I can't shell out $500 for it. I'll wait and hope for a separate AMLOR box with the remix and 5.1.

The Venice concert on DVD would be great. The bootlegs of that have pretty low quality sound, while the live TV filming blows away DSoThunder. Assuming they would have the original source recording on that. Wouldn't mind a DVD upgrade on the Knebworth concert either, mine recorded right off the MTV broadcast.

The rest I have no interest in.
