    I just saw Micky Dolenz......

......in a small role on an early episode of black & white tv soap series, Peyton Place!

Should I pass on this powerful nugget of Monkees esoterica to Hoffman Forum?

And, in doing so, set them all in a fit of chatter and tumult?

I just saw an episode of Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In with the three-man Monkees (post-Tork) as guest stars, and they didn't do any singing--just comedy bits.

Are you saying you do worse torture to your dolls of the other 3, but just use a saw on Micky?

I'll be seeing Grails tonight. I don't think Micky will be there. Hey, hey!

It only gets weirder, TC. And people are still arguing about what the last, two-part episode actually means.
Cobra handling and cocaine use are a bad mix.

I have the series on DVD and am currently watching it again. The last episode was very sixtyish where they seemed to throw everything into it. Kind of reminded me of the end of Casino Royale or What's new, Pussycat?

I love most of the episodes and it got me to get the whole Danger Man series which is also excellent.

I'm slightly embarrassed...no, very embarrassed to say I've never seen The Prisoner. I know of it primarily by reputation, firstly from seeing articles about it in places like Starlog and books on the history of television in general, etc. Of course, Iron Maiden had that song The Prisoner, which actually has nothing to do with the TV show, but they used the soundbite from the show on the intro anyway. And I also remember there was a Simpsons episode that was basically one elongated love letter to The Prisoner.

Homer: I want answers now, or I'll want them eventually! I am not a number! I'm a...(looks down, and notices "Number 6" button on his shirt), oh, yeah, never mind.

One of the absolutely brilliant things about The Prisoner, I suspect, is that McGoohan maintained control over the intellectual property rights or whatever you say. Hence, whenever anyone asked for a sequel or a remake, he'd unilaterally say no. He wasn't interested in doing another series of The Prisoner, or a movie or whateve,r no matter how popular it was or how much "demand" there was for more. So he kinda maintained the integrity of that particular property, instead of milking it as has happened with certain things (cough cough, Star Trek, cough, Star Wars, cough, comic book movies).

Years ago I literally bumped into Davey Jones in a bar in Hartford, CT. I was there with a buddy of mine & he came walking in with a beautiful woman on each arm. He was appearing in a touring production of "David & the Amazing, etc" Sadly, I was starting at him more than the women. I just kept thinking that I used to watch him on TV when I was in grade school. He hardly seemed to have aged.
