So much greatness from Argentina these past years; Gardenia, Cucamonga, Deformica, Las Orejas y la Lengua and the wonderful ChauCoco. The latter especially should be heard by many more folx. Barquitos Edward are one of the finest current bands from a country which has given so much through the years. I love it.

No matter what anyone says, you are the decider of how you will listen to music.

    Indeed!

I think it was mentioned by someone else here a while back - possibly you! - but this is a very good compilation of some recent bands:

Nop, I was the one Mascodagama and I'm glad that you'd enjoyed it!.

"ˇSalgan Al Sol!: Avant-Rock En La Argentina Del Siglo XXI" is a great compilation about the argentine experimental rock scene made by Norberto Cambiasso and edited in Perú by Buh Records.

It's almost 118 minutes of "music with pretensions which is not the same as pretentious music!": a great mix of cumbia and electronics, psychedelia and no wave, jazz and "chamamé", progressive and post-punk, contemporary and krautrock, noise and chamber music for example and, in my case, I already knew only 9 groups of the 23 …

    Good call!.

Well thanks for the tip then It's a very nice collection and I was happy that I bought it from Bandcamp.

Tip of the hat also to walt for the Barquitos Edward suggestion, which is quite tasty. The guitarist reminds me at times of Metheny, other times of Angel Ontalva - these are good things!
