I blame Wynton, what was the question?
There are only 10 types of people in the World, those who understand binary and those that don't.
I caught them on tour for that album and it was such a fun show. Mike and Dave were having a ball, the whole band seemed to be. I have video of Dave's toddler niece going up on stage - with major hearing protection on, of course - and rocking out with the band for a bit.
The days of getting gouged to see someone is long gone. I'm sure it would have been a fun gig.
^The one time I saw Don Cab, Che was belligerent and rather a bit of a dick. I think he might’ve been drunk, too.
The show was good, though.
I want to dynamite your mind with love tonight.
This is actually apparently true. When Mike Banfield (second/non-tapping guitarist) quit Don Cab before the American Don album, he gave an interview (MOJO, I think?) where the subject came to the fore as one reason for his leaving. From what I understand, it basically started with Damon Che suffering from severe stagefright but realizing while drinking at rehearsals that he could block out all externals and still perform gracefully when taking in alcohol continuously - so he did accordingly during gigs.
There was also a debacle concerning this when the band finally broke up, Ian Williams (first guitarist) moving on to Battles and Che himself having played in Bellini, an international math-rock "supergroup". Most of his collaborators seemed to opin that Che may have been a better drummer by drink, but an equally worse person from it.
Arh, glorious freaks like Baker, Moon and Wyatt were stage-drunks as well.

Not sure I'm going to like this, it's not really the Bungle stuff I love.

I am going to imagine that these limited LPs will be worth boatloads at places like Discogs when they (inevitably) sell out. I may pick one up and not open up, possibly forever. You get the download code so you can still spin 'er on the home hifi. I agree Ian - although I am a fan of extreme/death metal, I am sure the older Bungle albums align better with my tastes, but maybe this album will change my mind. Hearing it recorded via an iPhone on YT doesn't do the material any justice.

Got the Red vinyl. The black splatter is already sold out...I can surmise that the vinyl LP's will sell out in a matter of days/hours.
