Jon references a band he'd like to do Yes music with, anyone have any idea what the name of this band in New York that plays Yes music is?

I hope he keeps the present line up for more solo stuff, they compliment Jon well and I love the re-interpretation of some of the Yes songs.

    I'd go see that!
    -noisynoise
    www.polarizedguru.com - 5-piece jazz fusion group
www.incandescentsky.com - inventive improvisational instrumental ensemble

I've had no interest in seeing him since he hasn't been with Yes. I would definitely go to this though.

Masterworks 1 was pretty good -- I was at this show! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UF4i9HgsZbU&t=4667s

If he tours with Band Geeks to do classic Yes music, I'll travel to see it. Their CTTE video is phenomenal.

Saw them on this tour as well at Blossom Music Center in northeast Ohio. Great show though the sound was awful where we were sitting.

^ I don't remember bad sound at that gig, but I don't remember if I was in the pavilion or on the lawn.

I was at that gig too! Saw every SF area show in that era up to 2002. Excellent gig.

I was in the pavilion, towards the back. My friend and I must've been in what audiophiles call a bass trap: it's a spot where the bass frequencies collect, and they literally overwhelm everything. This was especially pronounced whenever Chris Squire used the bass pedals. It totally obliterated all of the rest of the band.

I wonder if you were near where I was sitting, though I didnt experience that bass sound (actually Steve's guitar was super shrill at the beginning where I was), but I was at the back of the seated area right in the middle.

Ha! It's really unfortunate that he had to alienate himself and become persona non grata with his gross and unacceptable antics. (Jon Anderson: "Igor doesn't burn bridges, he blows them up!") His playing and sounds were superb on this tour. There was a lot of promise with his being part of the band. Ah well...

"And I think I’ve found the band the other day, this fantastic band in New York, they play Yes music just like Yes music, it’s unbelievable to hear them.”
Any guesses who he is talking about?

Here's the money quote from Jon about this idea: "It’s funny, this came to me yesterday...”

He'll be onto the next big idea the day after.

Not that I'd possibly miss this show if it did happen.

Hopefully the graphics of this release will be made to match the big slipcase he sold.
