RIP Paul Krassner

I suspect few here are familiar with Paul Krassner, the political satirist, 60s reprobate, editor of The Realist, and general all-round agent provocateur.

But I never missed an issue of The Realist in my misspent youth in the 60s and early 70s, and his screamingly funny satire of the Kennedy assassination--in which the odious LBJ fucks the bullet wound--surpassed the Warren Report in its "truthiness."

As much, or more so, than Hunter Thompson, Krassner knew that America's elite classes were populated with scam artists, con men, mountebanks, liars, in-bred imbeciles, craven opportunists, moral midgets, apex assholes, and any other form of desiccated (in)humanity interested only in the main chance one can think of.

The guy who named the "Yippies," Krassner was piece of work and a righteous muthafucker for sure.
